Feeling under the weather....

Lot's of our friends and family are under the weather. They either have a cold or the flu. Knock on wood, because my GF and I have not succumbed to the cold or flu! How are you holding up?

I hear MO has been the hardest hit with Flu this year. I have no "cure" food as I rarely get sick. Stay healthy!

I'm over my constant cough that I had for nearly three weeks. There's so much of this about...just watch out.

Had a bit of a cold the end of Dec/beginning of January. It didn't hang on too long, thank goodness. I rarely get sick, but the last 10 years or so, I've gotten a cold or the flu in January (this year's hit me early!)

My go to is essential oils. The brand I use has a blend OnGuard...and I use that every few hours until I feel better. It definitely helps me kick colds and the flu sooner.

how does this work, using essential oils? Do you rub it all over your body or do you put it on specific part?

Most essential oils used are either inhaled using a diffuser, or applying a few drops topically...bottoms of the feet is common. This particular blend can be ingested. Not all can be (some people who use oils don't agree with ingesting any), so make sure you check.

I use essential oils for many things, trying very hard to reduce, if not completely eliminate, use of medication. Peppermint is handy for headaches, lavender for cuts and bug bites. I love using them.
