Trailers

This going to be a short post in reaction to something I just watched.

Movie trailers now they have changed over time but some are awful and some are good.
I just watched the original Mad Max trailer it's so bad that I wouldn't of watched the movie!
Now Mad Max 1 and 2 are great films; fuck the thunder dome, this got me thinking about trailers in general.
I understand why they exist ect but why do so many give so much away ?
I hate it when the best jokes in a comedy are in the trailer or when plot points or worse twists feature in the trailer.

Very few movies get this right one which fucking nailed it recently was Gone Girl if you haven't seen it do yourself a favour it's a really good movie and thats all I'll say about it.

I'd rather they gave me nothing from outside the opening 5/10 minutes of the movie that way you are not going to be sitting there thinking wonder when that awesome action scene from the trailer will happen. This also can mean you know the a character will survive to that point at least.
An example Movie which just launched the new Avengers movie, I know hulk fights Iron man, I know the Captain American's shield gets broken, I know Quicksilver Caps ass. I would rather not go in know all that cause all they had to do was tell me there was a new Avengers movie and I'd go see it.
