New year

New year

Well we have started the new year. I find myself working from home today for better or worse. It is nice to be at home to do the work but being in the job I do it doesn't give me a lot of freedom to do what I want to do when I am at home. Those who know me better then the average reader will know what I mean.

With it being the new year we all for the most part have different things that we would like to do and goals we would like to meet for this year. Most of which are tossed out the proverbial window by the time we get a month into the year.

One of my goals is to go on a nice vacation and just clear my head a bit. That goal, assuming nothing out of my control like death and or the world ending, should happen seeing as I already have my tickets. That will be a nice two weeks away from home.

Another goal I have will take more work. I plan on riding 1000 miles this year on the bicycle. Last year I didn't get as much riding in as I wanted to and this year I want to push myself for more. All that riding will help with the long ride a friend and I are planning on doing for the Cancer Society. That is another thing I can include on my goals. Do more to help raise money for them and those who need it at the Cancer Society.

What goals if any do you have this year? Or are you skipping that stuff for something else?

 Progress to made so far on the riding 1000 miles... 38.3 miles so far through this evening.

 Well I guess it is time for another update on this since it has been a little more then a month. I've gone 147.5 miles so far this year. Off to a much better start then last year. Maybe I can blow that goal for the year out of the water!
