From the intersection of RT 23 and RT 7 in Great Barrington, head west on RT 23 (toward S. Egremont) about 1 mile only. There's a big open field with cows on the north side of the road, and a big cornfield on the south side. MANY cars are parked on both sides of the road in the summer, so it's easy to find. If you cross the little bridge on RT 23 you've gone too far (the bridge crosses the Green River). The paths (on the south/cornfield) side of the road meander along the river. The farther you take them downstream (away from the road) the more secluded it gets, and the more it becomes distinctly clothing optional.

 Be careful spreading the word about your secluded skinny dipping place.... For many years, a lot of people enjoy hassle free fun in Zoar Valley Gorge....now the state patrols the gorge, even using helicopters, and fine people for being nude. I know of several other places that are now watched where people skinny dipped for years without a problem. Too many people go there, and others complain about the vehicles parked along the road....and the police start showing up and those secluded places are no longer safe for adult fun.
