Thursday--a zipperless picture from the old pervert
So, what the f. is this?

This my friends is the "sound " of peace and quiet where I live on the Mojave Desert...

It's hard for people in other areas to realize that only 120 miles to the West, toward the Pacific Ocean, 20 million people scramble daily trying to survive the noise, the smog, the traffic jams, and the out-of-control people....

When I bought this place in 1976, it looked as green as Viet Nam....but many years of no rain has taken it's toll... But...we like it like this. It's perfect territory for long walks with our dogs, and for horseback riding... Perhaps, sometime in the future normal rainfall will return and the desert will bloom once more.

Thank you again for your comment Mr. Sukmanov! I was in your country once in 1960 (at the U.S. Air Force Base there in Upper Heyford (sp?)... I can even now remember the beautiful clarity and crispness of the air! ... I was lucky to find this place in S.Calif because there are very few remote places remaining in the Southern portion of this state. More and more people move into California because of the beautiful, warm climate... I hope this place of mine will not be overrun by the masses before I die here! I really do love it here, and make every excuse I can come up with to not have to leave it even for a few days.. Affectionately, david
