Hello Aryana, Great idea. This way every blog gets noticed and members with really interesting posts/comments/thoughts and opinions can be seen and heard even if they have a smaller list of "watchers" then other bloggers. Everyone should have a right to shine and be noticed. Happy Wed, Ana6

Thanks for bringing up the suggestion...and arranging a vote! At least we feel like we have a say in the matter! I'd love to be able to see new and different blogs...and to be able to peruse accordingly! Who knows...my favorite blog might be on page 32...and we just haven't met yet! Smooches!

I think it would make the blogs a nicer place to be. I'd like to see the blog list go. These are the Aims and Objectives. Please read. of the group, Bloggers United! which I moderate. And a link to a post about my home town, Glasgow ,I hope you enjoy it!

Rotation is a great idea, but it would need to include all three of the 'popularity' lists to be effective in minimising the drama. Hopefully that's what you intend? As a commercial entity I would like to think that one of your primary aims would be to retain subscribers which this will surely do? And I also believe that it will help to draw new members to the blog forum and hopefully help to increase your revenues. The blogs need to be commercially viable if they're to be sustainable, and I for one see this as a great way forward. From a personal perspective, I am quite excited at the prospect of seeing new blogs that have hitherto been less readily available to me. I hope you see this through fully, the votes so far seem to be heavily in favour! Well done for listening to members and offering the prospect!!!

I am definitely in favour of a rotating list. This can only benefit the blogs and get rid of a lot of the drama and comment farming that goes on. I love finding new blogs to read but don't often get the time to go through the new posts list....this would be great from my point of view. ~~Anais Nin~~

Oh I've read some of the comments and it does seem like it's far more complicated than it would appear. Which blogs would be on the rotating list? I don't really mind speed blogging, each to their own. But as some folk have wisely pointed out it does push other people down the list so that they are missed. That's something that hadn't ever occurred to me. I totally agree with some of the others, that I think more info would be helpful. But I think there's evidently a strong feeling for the list to go. As I said before it would go a lot to make blogland a nicer place to be, perhaps more people would blog!!! I look forward to seeing what you guys will come up with. These are the Aims and Objectives. Please read. of the group, Bloggers United! which I moderate. And a link to a post about my home town, Glasgow ,I hope you enjoy it!

Would love to see a rotating list. Has to be active blogs on the list though, don't want to see blogs that have not been posted on for months. Thanks for asking for member feedback on this.

ABSOLUTELY rotate the blog lists. No need for it to be those who blog daily or all day long to constantly be on 'the list/front page'. Rather see VARIETY. Still like to see them separated male/female/couple so the reader can decide which might appeal to them. And the POLL section also needs to be rotated OFTEN. Same bloggers on there all the time.....BORING BORING BORING. Too many will never get a chance for site exposure with the way it's all done now.

It was a simple question...do you want the list to rotate or remain static like it is now. The majority vote seems to lean towards having a rotating list. So why all the caveats? You can make all the suggestions you want about who and what types of blogs should/shouldn't be rotated but at the end of the day, Local Sexy Swingers is going to work within their system to give us what we asked for to the best of their ability. So unless you have inside knowledge of how their system works and what it's capable of filtering on, just a simple yea or nah works. How about we give them some credit for asking if we want this in the first place?

Wow! You have a real talent for turn things that aren't about you into things all about you Amazing! So there's a "Hate on Sandra" blogger group? I gotta go look that one up

What I'd even more like to see is more rotation in the "Popular Member-Submitted Polls." Right now, pretty much all of the polls are by the same handful of members who have very popular blogs. Could you at least limit it to one item per member on the list?

Its time to shed little light into the darker corners of blogland. Rotate is an idea that should be tried out, eh what's the worst that could happen...harmony??

|
Rotating the list would be a good idea as there are several active bloggers who have interesting blogs and it would be good to give them more exposure. But as it was pointed out, the blogs that are rotated should be currently active. If there hasn't been a post in say, the past six months, then those blogs shouldn't be included into the roulette.

Bloggers United! ?? That's a hate group?? Ok...no wait, still laughing . It's hard to type with tears of laughter streaming down you face Let me try this again... The only things the group "hates" are the constant bugs and glitches that inhabit this site, especially on the blogs. So? If this group supposedly hates you, are you a glitch or a bug? Just wondering

It's 2013, is it really impossible to create basic data and then let members choose themselves if they want to see that kind of lists - and what kind of lists????? Someone was suggesting one week period, somehow that makes sense! As now it's about 30 days, even one blog could keep a person high on lists for about a month... Several months would not be showing a thing probably as only 30 days is counted for nowadays, at least it's very rare someone checks my older blogs! Perhaps the status of Blogland could be highlighted, now the biggest place seems to go camming and so on, not even profiles seem so important here... Only universal or also in Scotland Where to start my day or is it month Of course I39ll change I39ll do whatever you like Heatseeking missiles Squirter's life

Thank you everyone for your comments so far. As of right now, there is no exact plan of what this would look like, so this is a good place to brainstorm about how a new list could function. Here is how I believe it should behave, to be most fair to all bloggers, regardless of frequency of activity: *There would be a singular, randomized list, no longer separated by profile gender. *The list would rotate whenever the page is refreshed. This would ensure that the category would not be gamed, subsequently creating another type of leaderboard (monthly leaders, weekly leaders, etc). *Only active blogs will appear on the list. 'Active' would mean that user has logged in within 3 months. When said user logs in again after 3 months, their blog will once again appear in rotation after submitting a new blog post. *Other than this rotating list, no other part of the blog main page will be touched (Watched Blogs, Recent Posts, Newly Created Blogs will remain as is.) [If there is a consensus of problems with other areas, we will look at them next.] What do you all think about this? I think that the 3 month criteria is rather a long time span....it could lead to the situation where fairly old blog posts are being read ....which is a bit like reading an old newspaper. I would have opted for the maximum age of posts being 30 days old which would mean that the blogger would need to have been on the site within the past 30 days. Have you any idea if this will affect the current view of blogs when using "browse by location"? ~~Anais Nin~~
