American Idol
Are you watching American Idol this year? How do you think things are going so far? Who's your favourite?

I usually do a poll in one of the Local Sexy Swingers groups I belong to, but lately nobody in the group has been watching the show, so I've decided to do my yearly poll here in my blog.

 I think DeAndre is going to be the "Teflon Tim" of this season...all the "tweens" will be voting for him because they love his hair, and his voice isn't awful.

And his eyes. He has really pretty eyes. I couldn't believe it when he was picked as a wild card. I think he's getting voted back each week because of that site I told you about. It's probably the "vote for the worst" crowd that keeps voting him back...him and Heejun.

Joshua was my early favourite, and I also like Jessica and Phillip. Phillip's style is closest to what I'd choose to listen to, but Jessica and Joshua are so talented that it makes it too hard for me to pick a favourite at this point.

 I think I've finally decided that Phillip Phillips is my favourite, even though I think Jessica and Joshua are better singers. It's too bad that Erika was eliminated instead of Heejun or DeAndre. They're destined to be this year's Teflon Tims, I think.

 Even though nobody's reading this, I just HAVE to comment about last night. WTF!? Jessica, Josh and Elise in the bottom 3? And Jessica slated for elimination? American Idol really has to start limiting people to, like, 10 votes. The way it is now is just a total joke!

 I just changed my vote to Joshua. I probably should've stuck with my first pick right from the beginning. I still wish he would sing songs that I like more, but he's soooo good!

You're right...I started with Jessica, but Joshua really IS so good; he has the emotion that Jessica doesn't have (though I do think she has the better voice). Joshua is the better performer, with Skylar a close second...she gets up there with all that sass and just does her thing...you can't help but like her, but her voice isn't as rich as Jessica or as versatile as Joshua.

 I just removed the first person who actually had a vote (Skylar). According to our own voting here, it should've been Hollie eliminated since she's the only one left who didn't even get one vote. Based on performance, I think Phillip should be the next to go.

 Phillip is going to be the "Teflon Tim" of this year's crop, apparently. I just don't see what the judges apparently do...I think he's one-dimensional and can't find a melody with a flashlight and a set of directions; as a singer, he sucks (especially compared with the others), and as a performer, he's even worse. I think he's getting the tween and teeny-bopper vote.

 Well, so much for a Jessica/Joshua finale. I sort of have to agree with it though. If I'd never heard any of them before Wed. night, I wouldn't have voted for Josh either. I actually hated what he did to "Imagine." And he didn't even really sing in the other two songs. He just shrieked and growled. What a shame. He's SO much better than that.

If I had to predict the winner, I'd say Jessica will win. I think she's going to get most of Josh's votes. Although, all the Vote for the Worst people are voting for Phillip. But even they are worried about the huge numbers of "power voters" in the Philippines voting for Jessica. I think it's going to be close...

 Well, Phillip Phillips won. I'm not exactly disappointed. I did like him from the very beginning, but I really wish a girl could win again. If Jessica couldn't do it, probably nobody will be able to, unless we get a season where there is NO cute white guy with a guitar.

At least Phillip was at his best in the finale. I liked everything he sang, even "Stand By Me," and I especially liked the new song that will be his first single.
