Happy Valentine's Day!

Aw, I got a Valentine's text this morning from my Platonic Traveling Companion back in Colorado. How nice to know I haven't been abandoned by the friends I, er, left behind.

So in that spirit, Happy Valentine's Day, all my friends past, present and future!

Tonight at six the D is going to attempt to break the record for the world's largest speed-date. I may have to step in and lend a hand. Of course, the date I'm more interested in is later in the evening when I plan to encounter my young dancer friend. Yes, I had several previous visits to Vegas over the fall and winter to lay the groundwork, as it were.

 Thanks! Yes, I went and the best part of the "date" was when the young lady across from me and I had a half hour or so to chat while we waited for the event to get rolling! After that it seemed real easy to make a connection with some of my new encounters, but of course after three minutes or so you were moving along to the next. True to form, I did get stood up a time or two.
