Sugar
Sugar My sugar was there from the first I did not see him entirely, though, Until he crept in with his cleverness - And now I see him like all the stars over Montana On the night when they are the loveliest…so we’re Surging urgently against each other, wanting… His sweetness...having his sweetness -- Ah -- But three days later, the bitterness is back. Crystals do melt when they get warm, A simple syrup can be too much upon the tongue. |
