5 Plums
Clenching them tight to my undulating chest
Two on the right- three on the left, they rest
These are some juicy, dusky plums to harvest
You gave them... and - I ruthless/shameless
Deliciousness, dwelling upon my own bough
Your own mouth suck, you crave them now
Their warm skin - smooth and taunt
Their slick meat - firmly succulent
Oh three or four brief days wayward sings
These fruits will go the way of such things
Memories last as you do in them de lighten
Meaning for now, I shift and they ripen
Perpetual, blooming into golden, grey...
Let's not whisper effigies, let's sing today
This harvest of our delightful ache dance,
Such fullness, bodies knowing decadence.
