BBW as a term, over used???
BBW as a term, over used??? BBW, is this an overused term?? I love what most think of as a larger, or full bodied woman. Some would say Full Figured, other BBW (Big Beautiful Woman), and I would say Voluptuous. I don’t like the term BBW because I don’t feel just because you are big, or FAT means you are beautiful. I believe more in the HWP (height, weight proportional) approach. Height plays a big part. A 5’5 woman can carry a size 10 or 12 better than a 5’0” woman, and a 5’9 woman can carry a size 14 better than a 5’5” woman. But most of all to be beautiful, you first have to have a pretty or beautiful face, including eyes, smile and hair. My ex 5’4” had a pretty face and when we dated and got married she was a size 10. Now at a size 10 it was obvious she carried some extra weight, but was still attractive. But as time went on she grew to a size 16/18 and not at all attractive in the way she carried her weight. My current g/f is 5’8” tall and is currently a size 10/12 jean, and a 38D top, or an XL. Some might call this BBW, but she has a very muscular athletic build. She would not take kindly to the label of BBW. I think she is beautiful in every way. I do love curves on a woman and find a nice round butt and sexy cleavage attractive. A pretty face is key for me if I find the overall build to my attraction. This is not to say I am a prude, I do find the extreme in woman attractive, or an attention getter, but not sure I’d like it all the time or in the feel of my hands. Men, how do you feel about this? Ladies, am I to narrow minded, or do you have similar feeling about yourself, or other woman and most of all about men? Again, I do like big/full/shapely/curvy, whatever you want to call it, but I think BBW is over used. Your thoughts??? |

I agree. BBW is a term loosely used in this community. I was called a BBW in a chatroom and never thought of myself that way because I am one of those 5'10" size 12/14 girls. I have curves and some cushion, but in the places that matter. Now, I know a lot of ladies aren't as fortunate as myself at how they carry their weight, so maybe this is just a politer term for not being proportioned the way "society" deems beautiful. Honestly, I have a cousin that would be classified as a BBW and she's beautiful. Pretty face, skin, and eyes and the most gorgeous natural blonde hair you'd ever seen. Only a handful of men would turn her down. So, I agree, just because you're big doesn't mean you're beautiful, but that goes the other direction, too. Just because you're big doesn't mean you're NOT beautiful. And Nekkid... Classy and Nekkid

And I don't understand most of the HWP, RP, SSBH etc etc! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! Something interesting in my life: A surprise on my naked body this morning Come visit my blog to know what I get up to from time to time: [blog 4jasmine2]

I don't mind the term. It is the fact that just because a woman is big doesn't make her beautiful that I think it is over used. Thick, proportioned and most of all a pretty face are all a good thing....

I myself do not mind the BBW, I am Big, Beautiful(sorta )& a Woman! All is in the eye of the beholder tho! And as far as I can tell Cycling, your g/f would NOT be classified as a BBW, think that goes for larger women! She's just busty! But, to each, his or her own!

I hate the BBW term! I am a size 18/20, 5'8 and while I am aware I am over weight, I do not define myself that way as a BBW. I am a woman. Some people find me beautiful. Some people don't.

Well, I'm military and a power-lifter, so you can imagine that overweight women are not my fare and to an extent you're right. I've dated all body-types and I do prefer a woman who is thicker, but there is a fine line between obesity and curvy. That's for me to judge, obviously. BBW is a label. It's there to simplify things for people. "My every move is a calculated step, to bring me closer to embrace an early death." -Tupac Shakur
