A poem from dazzed4days that touched my heart ..
Shattered
not like a cup or a plate;
more like safety glass
the back window of your SUV
laying all about; impossible
to account for each piece
it's always dramatic
especially in slow motion
the moment gives way
to the hundred thousand
fragments of something once whole
something once protective
and leaves you looking at air
so fast you can't help but wonder
what just happened, or why
something seeming so solid
could fail in such bold drama
but in the end, you shake it off
picking up the pieces
of your heart...
of your soul...
move along now,
there's nothing more to see,
the shows over
