I’m sick AND tired

I always knew as a when I was in trouble.

If things were alright, I was called Bob (or Bobby).

If things were a little awry, I was Robert.

If I was in trouble, I was called Robert Eugene. (Yes, that's my middle name. He's such a cute baby, let's call him Eugene).

If I was REALLY in trouble...the last name was added. If I heard all three names, I came running.

I would stand in front of my mother, head bent, kicking the ground with the toe of my shoe, waiting to be scolded. Whatever it was, I knew I was guilty.

She would always start the same way..."Robert Eugene, I'm tired of...." followed by whatever the transgression was. I would be contrite, and apologetic. I would say I was sorry. She would give me a hug. She would tell me it was all right, and not to do it again. And then I would leave, no worse for the wear. Unconditional love winning out.

But wow..when I knew I was REALLY, TRULY, BEND OVER AND KISS YOUR ASS GOODBYE in trouble was when she said...
"Robert Eugene (insert last name here), I'm sick AND TIRED of...."

Holy shit. Not only was she using all three names, not only was she sick, but she was tired too. These conversations usually ended with "wait till your father gets home".

Well , I'm SICK AND TIRED of all this trauma and drama.

I'm sick and tired of the personal attacks.

If you don't like someone's blog, don't read it. If you don't like what they say or how they say it, then ignore it. Name calling and this behavior is the mark of either an idiot or a . If you don't like someone, leave them alone. You don't share a room with them. You don't live next door. Hell, you don't even have to work with them. Ignore them.

I'm sick and tired of the gang mentality.

I'm your friend so I have to join the fray. I’m their friend, so I have to be against you. Even an enemy of my enemy becomes my friend. We’re (supposed) adults here. People don’t need our help. If you see an injustice speak up, but that doesn’t mean taking sides. If someone has been offended, they can protect themselves. They don’t need your help. The flames don’t need to be fanned.

I’m sick and tired of the drama.

I’m sick and tired of the trauma.

I’m sick and tired of bloggers I enjoy reading closing shop because of the vitriol around here.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m new. I don’t know any of the players. I don’t know any of the reasons. Don’t know what caused the drama. Don’t know what caused the trauma. I’m an outsider, looking at this through the eyes of an outsider. I’m not taking sides. I’m just calling it as I see it .

The dreaded middle name .. I remember those days ...

My daughter used to be front and centre before the middle name had 2 syllables out ...

As for the drama .. it is all shaking out and the queens will be gone. One cannot build a castle on half truths and sand and expect it to stand. Even the Sphinx lost her nose ----
