Wow, it's been quite a while since I've posted one of these. I blame the joys of work and picking up an SO along the way.
Today I officially fall back to "standard member" status. So the joys of the site are no longer available to me. Then again, I don't have to put up with all the crappiness of the site either.
For those of you that may be interested in staying in touch or perhaps seeing if I'm available for some sperm of the moment fun (I know), you can kick me if you want. I use the same name as on here. Another option is using that google mail thing everyone is talking about. Again, no name change.
I still plan on being around, hoping to lucky once in a while but my time on here will be scaled back.

As I'm sure all standard members fidstick know, The site is pretty much useless at this level, at least for men. Women may catch a break because that's why everyone is here rocket. Being a mail on here is frustrating also. But now I've figured I'll see how I can let people know how to get in touch with me and how many will. All can try. Few will be successful.

Actually, I shouldn't be surprised at all.
My last post was changed by the site. Whether by the software or intervention, I know not. I hadn't received any e-mail at the address I posted, so I thought I'd check back. Then again, it's not like I had people clamoring for me before.
Anyway, the address was changed so that it read "Local Sexy Swingers." It's amazing that this site can't do anything about the fake profiles or shills for pay websites but they sure can prevent you from communicating with others. Fidstick!
By the way, it's the 50th anniversary of the first man in space. I'm sure the rocket was primitive by today's standards. Too bad we can't get our mail delivered by rocket. Someone should create a site with the "r" word and the mail word. Then all the people of the world could reach me there. Fidstick.

I've been perusing through the profiles, drooling over pix, and attempting to establish contact with others and possibly meet. My success rate is non-existent.
I notice that couples want couples, and if they're looking for a male, they can pick and choose who they want to see. So, in the perfect world, I would have a wife/SO/GF who enjoys the lifestyle and we would live it up.
Being this is the real world, it's not happening. I've accepted this and it will be time to move on. I won't be disappearing completely, though. I'll be checking in from time to time to read some blogs and possibly make a post or two but that's about it.
Thanks to those who have commented on my blog or shared a few emails.
Now on to other things.

I came to a decision the other day, as I was on my laptop looking over the cams and pix of the lovely women on here. And that is...when my membership has expired, I'm not coming back. Why, you may ask? Well...
It's a combination of things. The site doesn't work the way it should (and probably never will), I'm spending WAAAAAY too much time on here, and the biggie being, I'm giving up.
Believe me, giving up is something I rarely do (I'm more the eternal optimist) but being here and finding it frustrating that no one is interested in meeting, or establishes contact only to never hear from them again, gets me wanting to kick something.
I'm sure you've heard the line about insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result, and that's what it feels like to me. Hoping that someone will want to chat (and I've never been one to assume it will turn in to cybersex) and just see what's going on never turns turns out. My success rate seems to be about two out of a 100.
Of course, what keeps my hopes up is that two percent. Of course, that two percent drops to zero after the initial conversation.
So, while I'll be going away, it won't be for at least four months. I got suckered in to buying a gold membership and that worked out great for me. So I have to satisfy the requirements so that my card doesn't get dinged. I think after the year, I get six months free, as if that will make a difference.
Having typed the above, I know it's possible to meet with someone because I have done it. That was early in my membership but given the last few months, it's pretty much hopeless.
Sorry to be such a downer. Maybe my next entry will have something nice in it.

OK, for those that don't want to go read it, there is a post about how some affiliate sites of Local Sexy Swingers were advertising "hookers" and the profiles of Local Sexy Swingers users were showing up on the site. I would recommend checking it out if you haven't.
Local Sexy Swingers responded to her post and in reading their response in the site support log, I came across this sentence that said the executives of the company were going to have a meeting about this. I read that and wondered what would they talk about? Someone blew it and as long as Local Sexy Swingers (or their owners) make money, I'm sure they're not too concerned about it.
Yes, they say they will and will try to appease everyone but the fact is, as long as there is even the slightest possibility that someone can get "easy sex" on this site, Local Sexy Swingers won't change their ways. If you want to see how not to run a company, go read through the support blog. If this site were anything other than a sex site, it wouldn't be around due to the fact that it's a terrible set up. How long do you think this would last against Facebook, or even MySpace?
Being a business, the only thing Local Sexy Swingers will understand is the bottom line. I see the numerous complaints about customer service, the shoddy programming, the copious amount of fake ads and people STILL sign up or renew their membership. As long as Local Sexy Swingers can keep them on the line, why should Local Sexy Swingers change their ways?
I was on this site a few years ago as a silver member. I got fed up with the fake ads and didn't renew. Well, I was lured back and signed up for a gold membership, mainly due to the fact that when I was a silver member. So when I signed up, I went gold to see the IDs. What a waste as it seems that 90% of the people on here don't have one listed.
So, I've decided that I won't be renewing my membership when it runs out. I, for one, am tired of how bad this site is and the tricks they pull to lure people in, whether it be "getting laid tonight" or finding hookers. A quick detour...there are hookers on this site. Find a profile that has the term "generous man" in it and she's a . I've come (no pun intended) across a couple of them on here.
And now with this latest scandal, I have more than enough reason not to return. I'll miss the blogs when I go and my chat friends also but in order to get this site improved, the bottom line has to be affected. The only way to do that is to quit buying or renewing a membership. Maybe then they'll straighten up their act. Given my experiences on here, I doubt it.

When did respect and courtesy disappear?
Watch TV, read a paper and it's apparent that the way we deal with things now is to demonize your opponent, regardless if you're correct if they're correct.
What's this have to do with Local Sexy Swingers? Let me tell you.
Since I've been using this ID, I've mailed quite a few women and/or couples. I'm good about not e-mailing people who would have no interest in me (my cock is three feet to short, wrong race, too short, no third nipple), unless it's to compliment them on a pic or to let them know I enjoyed watching them on cam. Aside from the last two reasons, it's obvious those people would have no interest in meeting and possibly advancing to the next level. I'm being courteous.
Those I do mail, the checkboxes are all green or maybe a box or two is red. To contradict what I wrote above, unless it specifically states they aren't looking for a man or don't want anything to do with my ethnicity, I won't bother.
One would think that trying to establish contact with a silver or gold member would be somewhat easy as there aren't quite as many restrictions as a standard member. Given the number of people I've mailed, where I thought there may be some interest, less than a handful have responded back. One continued on and the other said, "No thanks."
What happened to all the others? Why can't they just respond and say, "Thanks, but no thanks?" Given how you can filter emails, one never knows if the email got through.
And as an aside, I like how the system doesn't tell you what those settings are and you have no way of knowing if your email makes it through. Last time I used this site, if you were gold, all emails went through. Now, the only way to avoid that is by being a "VIP." Can you say upsell?
This post is getting long but if someone emails you and you are not interested, just respond back and say, "No thank you."
Besides being courteous, it's the right thing to do.

One of the items on my "to do" list is to share an experience with a couple. I have yet to be successful but I usually check out IMC and if I see a couple that's interesting and most of the checkboxes are filled, I'll send an IM to establish contact.
I recently did this and was promptly rebuked. The reason? They didn't live in my area. So this brings me to a question.
Why say somewhere you're not? I understand being private/discreet. I understand keeping the "lifestyle" under wraps also but at least state you're in the area you hail from. Or, at a minimum, select the adjacent zip code to where you reside.
If you're going to get annoyed because you're getting messages from someone who is in the area you listed, don't complain.
As a quick aside, anyone notice the barrage of fake profiles suddenly showing up? I tell ya, once my membership is up, I'm through with this site. Why pay for seeing spam when I get it in my inbox for free?

Some people that have used this site, for one reason or another, have left and in doing so, discontinued their membership.
The problem?
The fact that although these members are no longer around, their name is all over the site. These aren't people like the "see my website to view my cam" people. The people who have canceled have done it on purpose and have no intent on returning.
Ah, it's just frustrating. Just another "feature" that makes me wonder why people pay for this site. Yes, I know, I did too but I've learned my lesson.

I'm pretty sure I'm not gay. I have no problems with those who are or who are bisexual but I have to comment on how many couples are on this site that consist of single men.
I sometimes like to participate in a single sex act. Well, a lot actually and sometimes I'll even broadcast said event. When I'm in that situation, it doesn't bother me who happens to be watching but it's funny how many guys the show attracts. If I only attracted women like that.
So during the presentation, I'm curious about who is watching me, so I click on the profiles. Nine times out of 10, they're "straight males," at least according to the profile. Why does a straight man want to watch another straight man?
Be honest with yourselves, people. Sure, there are still closed minded people on here (which is kind of ironic given the subject matter of the site) but don't pretend to be something you're not.
Just like the number of couples that are on cam. I swear that 85% are really single males, hoping to lure others into their web of deceit. Sure, the female may be out and about and I'm sure it happens but just for fun, go look who is advertising as a couple. You will be surprised.

Aside from being the gourmet meal in a can, nothing ruins the 'net more than SPAM. It's everywhere. And everyone.
I don't know if you've wandered through the site support blog but I know I've seen complaints about SPAM, specifically the webcam broadcasts that advertise for a site. I've noticed it's working now (or at least last time I used it) but there is a link to "report abuse" when you're watching the cam. It wasn't working for a while and tech support's answer was "it's a bug."
How can it be a bug when it was working before? There shouldn't have a been a reason to touch that particular part of the code. The result was you couldn't file a complaint about the advertising, although I'm sure all those complaints end up going to /dev/null (server equivalent of the garbage can).
Local Sexy Swingers claims that they take SPAM seriously but it's really hard for me to believe that when Local Sexy Swingers SPAMs just as much as anyone else, if not more so.
How do I know? Because I've been lured by it.
I've been yearning to get involved in a relationship, so I cover the bases by checking out other sites, among them being craigslist.
I know a good chunk of the postings on CL are spam (tired of capitalizing) and I'm pretty good at picking them out. I was going through the "Women seeking Men" section and a particular ad caught my eye. Had the right city, written well, didn't see any red flags, so I answered the post.
I get a response back actually asking a question or two. So I replay back and she tells me she's married, which I then tell her it doesn't matter. So she write back, all excited, and says "great!"
She tells me she's paranoid about her husband finding out and tells me to go to her web page, which isn't a good sign. I go and she has a couple of pix and there's a link there where if I follow it, I can look up her name, find her number and we can have the most tawdriest sex this side of the Mississippi. So I follow the link from her page and guess where it leads.
To Local Sexy Swingers's main page. So I think, "Hey! I'm on here, I can look for her name and the sex can begin."
I run the search and her account is off. Coincidence? I doubt it. Just an Local Sexy Swingers spam account.
Local Sexy Swingers has enough suc, I mean, users that I don't think they really need to go out and spam like that but the lure of $$$ is too strong. I knew I should have stayed away from here.
As an aside, I'm getting really tired of going to watch couples' cams and seeing nothing but males. I've seen more cocks on couples' cams than on a farm.
