Language that will not get you attention So I had this intriguing conversation this week with a woman I met through a friend. We were talking about Local Sexy Swingers in general as she hadn't been to this site before so I was telling her about my experiences here. One of the more interesting parts of the conversation was about the emails I get and what people say that will either pique my interest or make me hit the delete button immediately. I have this cartoon saved that I just love:  I had thought the cartoon was pretty funny in a generic sort of way. It was a good social commentary about how bold I am. I like it. But then I actually got an email wherein someone called me Dear. Seriously. I could not hit the delete button fast enough. So as I was telling this story, I started thinking more about what people write in the emails to introduce themselves. Lots of different types. There are the novelists... who will go on for paragraphs and paragraphs about some abstract fantasy about what they want to do to you when you eventually meet and yadda yadda yadda. If I had that kind of time to read much less write all that I'd just dive in and officially be writing porn. There are the peoplewithouttheuseeofaspacebar all of which just is annoying as hell. There are peopl who cant tipe or spel korectlee so I wonder how they are using the internet to begin with. Judgmental I know but I already said I was a bitch so no surprise there. There are the faceless masses who for whatever reason have no pictures on the site at all. Really? What are you hiding? Clearly something. You have to know that is reason number one for someone never to look at your profile. Anyway, so then we had a much deeper conversation about what did get attention, and more in particular what got me to reply. Honestly it's a little hard to describe. That's seriously not helpful I know but it is true. First and foremost it needs to include a picture. I think we can all agree that if there isn't some level of attraction then creative writing is not going to get you far. And no, I don't just mean a picture of your privates. Although that does help. A lot. LoL. What was I talking about? ... oh yeah, pictures. So yes, include a picture of yourself. And make it recent. Having a picture that is even older than 6 months is not a good thing. Beyond the picture is just pure, unadulterated honesty. People don't have to go on for a long time to get my attention. They mostly just have to say hi, this is me, this is what I think, and this is what I think of you. It's not really rocket science. Of course it helps if you have actually read the person's profile so that you know what they are looking for and can respond along those lines. So what makes you respond to someone's email? Please share your perspectives as well. I'm definitely curious why some people don't reply to my replies as well. Maybe I'm one of the types I am talking about? Nah... can't be. |

Your expectations seem perfectly reasonable to me. Of course, as a guy on a site like this, I don't have the luxury of picking and choosing based on whether or not I like the lady's writing style. I do, however, insist that the lady be local. Say, speaking of local, you are in Bellevue... just 30 miles away. and your photos show an attractive lady. Are you interested in taking a ride on my Harley? Weather is turning nice finally...
