How Far Would You Go? Hey all. Happy Friday. A recent conversation with an out-of-my-state, non-blogger got me to thinking about long distance "relationships" - no matter what the actual context, lovers - friends - relatives, etc. Then, hours later, I received a text from a very good, out-of-state friend that her mother has died (she was ill, it was not unexpected but, alas, has finally happened). Of course, I texted her back saying something to the extent of "I can be there in 3 hours - just tell me "go" ." Connect-the-dots to a recent statement I made in another post about flying well over 30 hours roundtrip, just to spend 20 hours on the ground to fix a "problem" my employer thought was worthy of such... ahem... tactics. Those three (and much else, believe me) got me to wondering -- to what extent do you drop everything and DO what has to be done (or you want to be done)? or more precisely: how far HAVE you gone to do such a thing? Planning a vacation doesn't really apply, however, I'm seeking as many perspectives as possible. Therefore -- "I wanted to see the ocean, so I travelled 1,000 miles" counts and is worthy of replying, so please do. I'll give my own example(s): I have travelled a tiny bit over 2,000 miles for sex once. It is not the furthest I have gone and received sex at the destination, but the greatest distance I have intentionally gone with actual preparations with the other person to get-it-on. Best part is/was -- I was going there anyway for business, so the flights back and forth were covered financially. The "extended" part of the stay (once the work was done, see), of course, was on me and worth every second and dollar. This was over a decade ago and I still remember every dripping detail. There are multiple occurrences throughout my life (though not recently) that I have travelled 450-800 miles for sex specifically. These adventures were not with strangers I found on a website but folks that I knew way before sleeping with them and our "relationship" grew into such a thing that we needed to see each other every few weeks or so. One was in Nashville, TN another deep in Texas. A third was in Kansas and I actually ended up moving there at one time because the back-and-forth just became unbearable. There are others but I have spoken enough on the topic and more interested in what YOU have to say. Well, lastly let me add -- I have travelled hundreds of miles, multiple times, for funerals and weddings of friends and relatives. I travelled over 500 miles for a Thanksgiving feast. I've travelled thousands and thousands of miles for my job at any given time whether it is 10 hour one-way flights or 6 hour roadtrips or what-have-you. So, I'll pose some questions again - what was the furthest you have travelled for what? How far would you travel for sex? For a relative? For a friend? For a stranger? Looking forward to hearing ANY answers.  |

Sex- I have and would travel 2400 miles Certain relatives no distance is too far 800 miles for all other relatives once ever 3 years 50 miles for strangers.

Distance for the stranger to me is not over 50 Miles. Distance for the lover is not exceeding 200 Miles..Thanks to one of my lover always drive 100 Miles distance back and forth (200 Miles ) for 3-4 hours visit. The relationship was happen even distance 0ver 9,000 Miles. and our visited was every two months for 3 years. The relationship was worked.

I once traveled 1300 miles from my city to Charleston SC by air. But the trip wasn't exclusively to meet someone for sex. My son was graduating basic training at Ft. Jackson and prior to the trip, I was chatting and getting to know locals in the Carolinas chatroom to get ideas on sights to see and things to do. The person I met was someone I had met from that venue, which I connected with and well, I won't go into specific detail but you can guess the rest.
