What the hell ?????????????

I have had a "friend" for over two years. He still considers me just a friend. He calls me daily and depends on my support to get him through. We have spent a lot of time together this year. He comes 180 south to me at least once a month. We sleep together and enjoy each others company. I have repeatly told him I care for him. But yet he still thinks of me as only a friend. He has told me he does not want to hear about the other men I see. I totally do not understand or why he does not return my affection for him. Will he ever get the idea and go from a friend to a boyfriend??? Am I wasting my time on him???

 I think it's clear from what you're saying that you're wasting your time.

You said it yourself that he thinks of you as a friend, nothing more.

You're really only hurting yourself by sleeping with someone who doesn't care for you the way care for him.

Either accept the FB/FWB status of your relationship; or change the FWB/FB to friends only - no sex; and move on and find someone who does want the type of relationship you're looking for.

 Yes, you are wasting your time if you think he is going to change his mind about you at this point. He's your fwb plain and simple. You want more and he doesn't. Get out of it and stop torturing yourself and him too. If he wanted you to be his girlfriend you would be already.
