I keep hearing the people say...

it's a sobering experience to step into the oval office as a new president.

I don't believe that Trump has the ability to understand that. I believe he is too conceited, and yet insecure. He is very power hungry and too crooked to care about the consequences of his actions, words or thumbs.

I suspect it's going be sobering for the people of this country and the world.

I'm betting there will be many Republicans without jobs come the next election.

Hopefully, if it isn't "rigged" by Comrade Trump.

I think if the truth ever comes out Trump will be lucky if he isn't brought up on treason charges.

It takes fools to put an emotionally unstable reactionary ass into the office of the president of the United States. It takes even bigger fools to allow him to stay there.
if we do indeed allow him to stay there, or for Pence to replace him. we are allowing a corrupted election to place an egomaniacal buffoon to make decisions that require gravitas and intellect.

i am working hard, as are most people i know to do everything we can to prevent this presidency form taking root. i would hope tht the conflicts of interest would be sufficient to keep him form being sworn in. if not, shame on the Justice Department. where are the voices of dissent and the press coverage of the Russian interference in the election. it's all so minor compared to what was going on prior to the election. are we all resigned to this???

You cannot conceive the many without the one.

tickles4us replies on 1/7/2017 1:31 pm:
I've been seeing plenty of coverage on the shows I watch. Even the comedians are lambasting him and the Russian connections. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Democrats put something up for impeachment and the Republicans support it just enough to accomplish the mission of getting rid of Trump and installing Pence.

I'm no fan of Pence but he would be better than Trump and can easily be gotten rid of in the next election. That is assuming the Democrats get their asses in gear and put a stop to the Republicans interference in the elections with their list manipulations and such and that they turnout. The lack of turnout is inexcusable.

When are we going to see his tax returns? Most likely we wont.

Isn't that mandatory. No, it is more like customary since the 60s IIRC.

We can remove this guy from office...... There isn't a direct way to do that. What people can do now is elect senators and reps who will oppose things that are anti-populous. Problem with that is we are talking about politicians who are in the pockets of big business and money.

Isn't that mandatory... until he changes the law?

I just bet he owns stock in Twitter.

tickles4us replies on 1/7/2017 1:22 pm:
It's not mandatory it was only a customary thing. You will never see his tax returns through him, it will only be if someone else leaks them. You would likely see his connections to Russian oil and financial institutions.

I suspect he will use his public office as his private office.

Think he'll cancel his press conference? .. How will he face the public? Will he have a message? .. Maybe he will just tweet it.

Once Obama is no longer the president, I've got a feeling that things will change. .. Trump has in no way earned any political capital, except for the favors he used to buy. .. The Republicans want to use him, not work with him. .. (Almost like Putin in a way.)

It is possible that we could get stuck with Pence. amp; I can see it. .. He is already impeachable.

Read my diary Journal of a Taxi Driver for taxi stories and pictures of flowers and trees.

tickles4us replies on 1/7/2017 1:18 pm:
He certainly is impeachable and should be as soon as possible if he is even allowed to assume the office. I expect the Republicans want him to take the office before they drop the axe.

Trump is unreliable as far as anything goes so I wouldn't count on him keeping to anything he says from press conferences to campaign promises. I don't think he will give up his tweeting as he thinks it is a good thing which shows just how stupid he really is.
