A capitalist socialist democracy

We already live in a capitalist socialist democracy. We have citizens who own their own businesses and we have corporations, they both provide products and services to their customers. Which is capitalism. We have social security Medicare subsidized housing government grants. Which is socialism. And all of it existing within a democracy. Well what used to be a democracy.

Our democracy has been compromised by corporate interests. Our government has been compromised by Democrat and Republican alike. Are democracy needs new more honest representation from candidates who will serve the people and not the corporations that have taken control of this country. Democratic socialist want our democracy back not what it has evolved into a corporatocracy plutocracy oligarchy.

Democratic Socialist don't offer socialism they offer what we already have a capitalist socialist democracy, but without the corruption of our government and corporations. Democratic Socialist want to serve the people by offering free healthcare free education a living wage. We need to follow the example of Norway Sweden Finland Denmark Iceland. Whose quality of life is superior to our own.

The problem is not socialism or government the problem is the people running those social programs the people running our government. They are corrupt. If we have people like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria ocasio-cortez in our government, then these social programs and our government will work.
The problem is not the people it's the system. That socialist system which the basis of the social programs. It's fundamentally flawed. The government doesn't earn money. The only money it has was taken from productive citizens. And with these program the government now is providing services that used to cost money. Why buy the cow if you get the milk for free. At the beginning this won't happen but the more people see it as a viable alternative the more people sign up. The more money it takes to sustain the program. So there's only two options for governments. Tax which is why the Scandinavian countries have an tax rate of 50-60+ percent or inflate the currency by printing more money and go into debt. The Scandinavians are now backing off the social programs because the high tax rate kills GDP and innovation. It's not sustainable. Eventually your debt kills your economy or your currency loses so much of it's vaule that it's worthless. Most of the time both happens when a country is desperate like what's going on in Venezuela or Zimbabwe right now.

Regardless of what you have to say our government is corrupt and I am willing to give a Democratic Socialist a chance to fix our government. Because the Republicans and corporate Democrats will do nothing but make the problem worse.

This stuff is my world We don't live in a capitalist socialist democracy. We live in a capitalist Republic with a rather large social safety net provided by the government which they don't have the money to pay. That goes for the Scandinavian countries also.

The problem with socialism is that it's economically retarded if you understand economics. That goes for Democratic socialism because it's socialism with the word democratic in front of it. There is no difference in the ideology. There's no such thing as free that money has to come from somewhere. And even if you tax the rich at 100% there's not enough money. You can tax the middle class and the poor 100% also and you still wouldn't have enough money for the money Americans own in unfunded liabilities now with just pension, Medicare and Medicaid. Now add education, health care. The national debt is not just a number which is in the hundreds of trillions. It's a ticking timebomb.

The Scandinavians know this and that's why they have been cutting services like mad and are currently in a fight with the European Union because they won't accept more debt that the EU is trying to impose with the single market which allow their goods into.
