Augusta in November.
Augusta in November. Today is the first day of The Masters, although I have tried to play golf, I never really got to be any better than abysmal lol The first time I saw the Masters on TV was a revelation to me, it was in 1967 and I was in the R.A.F. in the club they had a colour TV , the first I had ever seen. The course looked fantastic , the colours of the flowers and foliage just blew me away! That was my introduction to televised golf, and I have watched the Masters at every opportunity since. Although The Masters is being played, due to the virus it only now being played in Autumn (Fall), instead of the Spring. I miss the colour, the crowds and the spectacle, like so many things this year the same yet so different!! Please visit my Blog "Older but no Wiser" |

wow! you really are on a writing spree! i'm loving it! before i had access to the tickets. and i had debated pulling the favor so my brother could attend. but the contact passed away... i'm sure a lot of people were asking for the tickets so i didn't want to be a nuisance about it.

They are also saying, with the time change , they are mindful of the impending darkness and if that will impact the quality of play. Yup...such an odd odd year this is ~~

I used to play golf, was even moderately good at it.......but my back didn;t agree. I find watching it on TV very relaxing. And there is something magical about Augusta. I'll hopefully catch up on it later tonight. Good post McBurger, brought back some great memories!

I just watched Bernhard Langer fluff a shout out of a bunker......and all those 'happy' memories flooded back too! I don't really want anyone to play badly as such, but it reminds us from time to time that we're all human! The english lads are doing reasonably well so far....early days, but it would be good to see some in contention on Sunday. Weird with no crowds cheering the players on though right enough, I wonder if that's affecting any of them.
