Work Around the House

I've been working around the house this weekend putting in a new kitchen floor(hardwood) it's hickory wood, from our local Amish area. Great stuff. The project looks like it will take me a total of 3 days to put down the floor. So my question today is : Do you work on any do it yourself projects around your house? If so, why? If not, why not?

The picture above was a hawk that was standing on the TEE BOX of where we play our work golf league. Thought it might be interesting.

Always good to do it yourself. Thanks for the compliment on the hawk picture.

I always have hobbies which are something productive. Sometimes I've gone on to be employed doing what I learned as a hobby. My next project is metal casting parts.

Following my advice may cause injury, insanity, financial loss, hemorrhoids, death and superpowers

Great idea. Do what you enjoy and get paid for it.

I took a week off work to replace all the plumbing in my house
including a new water heater.Rebuilt my Kenmore gas dryer
and yesterday cleaned all my AC coils internal and external.

I love the casting Idea! This is a wooden buck I've put together
to cast my own concrete block.

Using more than all the road!

Very handy. A level above me. Great idea on the concrete block. I have to add a new step to my front porch. I have been toying with the idea of pouring my own step.

I think my love for completing projects stems from my dad and shop class back in high school. Power tools can be fun. Nice to have a son that’s into it ! (HeartCollector)

That's good craftsmanship. You should consider posting some of your projects on your blog
