It may well be the appreciation factor: the older/mature attention to detail. And the ability to know how. You are not born with this knowledge; it is wisdom. Women in general are more mature than guys per age group. I think that it is only natural for those who let themselves try it, to appreciate it. I notice that this topic in the US is almost like taboo; "you don't date outside of your age group", all too often--what a shame!
