Rules I try to Live By

We all have rules we try to live by. This is a personal attitude I have about how I choose to live each day. Here are a few I try to live by.

My word -
What I say and tell others about what I will do or not do.
Keeping my word, or "Doing what I say I will do."
To me keeping my word is all I really have. It defines my character. Seems so many people today can't do what they say they will do. It really bugs me when someone says "I will be there." then not show up. Not even a call. Oh well, nothing I can do about what others say or do. The only person I have any control over is me. I choose to be a man of my word.

Honesty
Honesty is also very important to me. Being honest is not always so easy. At least if you hear it from me, it will be the truth as I know it to be. What I say may not be what you want to hear, but at least you can believe me. Being honest is the only way to build trust. For others to trust you can take a life time. To lose it can happen in the blink of an eye. Usually lost because of a lie. I like what Mark Twain had to say, "When you tell the truth, you don't have to remember what you said." As I get older, this becomes more important as I suffer sometimers from time to time. ( Sometimers = What I said, I forget."

Doing good deeds
I try to do a good deed each day. This means that when I can help another person, and I can help, I usually will. This has to be done with the attitude that you will not get anything back from helping another. I do it because it makes me feel good when I can help someone, and it is the right thing to do. Some people may take this as a sign of weakness and will take advantage of my acts of kindness. It is not a sign of weakness to me. I have paid the price for these acts of kindness. But once again, I have no control over what others do, only over what I do.

I have tried to live my life so that when I die, and stand before my creator, I can look them in the eye and account for how I have lived. Of course I have made mistakes, make bad choices now and then. There are many things I wish I had done different. But as I look back on my life, I have had a great life. I have been blessed with things that are truly important. There are things I would like to do yet. I wake each day and look forward to what the day will bring.

All I have is the now. I can not change a thing about what has past. It is behind me forever. All I can do with the past is remember it and learn from it. I can plan for the future, but that is no guarantee that it will happen as planned. Most the time plans seldom unfold as I thought they would. The joy comes in the journey.

There is more about me than just these few words here but this is a good start in getting to know who I am.

I would like to be remembered as a man
of good character.

Lost reality or Cyberspace

I think I am lost someplace between reality and cyberspace.
Is anything real?
I have now been single for about 8 years. I spend 96% of my time alone. I doubt I will ever live with a woman again.
I do not know what I can offer her.

I do not know how to accept love. Or I am not sure

I want to get busy living and no busy dying but I have no idea what I want.

I do know I am really sick of cooking for one, talking to myself.
I want to kiss, and hug, and know love

To have someone to share the highs and lows of each day

I do not know how to get there anymore.

I believe I am lost in cyberspace.

I have been online so long, ( since 1995 at least) that I have seen most everything out there. Not much surprises me anymore

I still find myself drawn to the sight of a pretty woman
or an intelligent thought.
I get excited at the prospect of finding someone and know all to well the disappointment of rejection.

I still hope for the best but am no longer holding my breath

Perhaps one day soon I hope, I can find someone to go side by side and get busy living.

I still seem to have more success meeting people just going out to a casino or fun events.

I've learned.... That when your newly born grandchild holds your little finger in his little fist, that you're hooked for life.

I've learned.... That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it.

This is perhap the most thought provoking and informative movie I have ever seen. The Myth about religion is exposed.

The destruction of the twin towers on 9-11 is exposed. Who really blew it up and why.

The truth about the Federal Reserve is exposed.

The Declaration of Independence
July 4th 1776

Soon we will be celebrating the 4th of July. I have given this blog a lot of consideration. For myself, I am going to re-affirm my commitment to the principles our founding fathers so beautifuly and simply wrote down on one piece of paper. Reading the words chosen for this declaration I am amazed at how few words can say so much. Those men sure knew how to turn a phrase and use language like no one can today. What Thomas Jefferson wrote is amazing, and I challenge anyone today to do better than he did those few evenings with quill pen in hand and working by candle light.

He begins with the why it became necessary to break the bonds, and look to the laws of Nature and the Nature of God and what is God given, not government given. Powerful. When we look at how things have become so perverted and twisted that we can’t even allow god in our schools, our work place, our community. It was good enough for Thomas Jefferson then it’s good enough for me.

The Declaration of Independence

The way the second paragraph starts is etched in every American’s body, mind and soul. How many brave and fine Americans have given their lives for these magnificent words?

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Then they follow that up with this. What to do, what to do?

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed

So they tell us what is, followed up by what we are responsible for.

That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government

Have we let things get just a little out of hand on our shift? Are we on the edge of a catastrophic collapse of the America our fathers, and their fathers, took such heroic steps to preserve? AS a nation since this declaration many things have changed in a relatively short period of time when you take into consideration the history of man. We in America are a young nation still when stacked up against the great civilizations of man.

Thomas Jefferson continued with more eloquent words for the ages. If you want to know more, please do a little research on your own. Come to your own conclusions. Make a commitment to do your best. Provide a nation as it once was, Free and Independent.

Do what you can. Let the individual stand side by side in equality with corporations, government, and all citizens of the United States of America. Make our fathers stand tall with pride. Let our look back and stand with their fore fathers, proud, free men and women before each other and God. Bring pride, honesty, and a constitutional government back to America.

Amen.

Now I remember,
I always did enjoy the blogs best.

Now finding the time to read and comment on those I wish to is the hard part

I always figured the woman and probably her g/f know long before me if I was going to get lucky that night, as it should be.

What I enjoy about the blogs here, people just lay it out there as they see it. Take it or leave it. I have always appreciated that.

I've had a hell of a year, and still trying to recover. But hope to be back here as after looking around, not much to beat this site.
Even when you don't always connect sexually, you can enjoy the company of others here.

I did cut off the pony tail. and moved 4 times this last year, and suspect another move is not too far off. but will be at my own pace instead of dictated by others. At least I hope so.

I have re-assesed my goals, and hope I am on track.

Working on a naughty Novel. Can use a few folks to round out the characters in my little swingers village.

Been quite a while since i've been to this site.

Been hibernating, and keeping a low profile.
Moved once again, and not sure when the next move will come along. Sure hope it's not in the heat of the summer.

Taking things one day at a time,

Got new glasses so can see again.

Due to downsizing, and cutting expenses, I will no longer be a gold member. Lately I have been occupied with other events to allow me to spend much time here anyway. But I believe I can 'Blog'
and if I really want to get in touch with someone, there are ways, this is the internet after all where options are endless.
Although I'll miss the features a Gold member has, and sure I'll miss a few of them, if they aren't being used actively anyway, it's on the hit list.

I don't know when it happened, I still haven't even felt it, but somewhere along the way I must have gotten old and I missed it. Perhaps it was the day Little Lucy came by, and started calling me pops cuz she couldn't say Larry. ( She's a columbian sweetie. Next thing I know everyone is calling me Pops.

Now I have always been the oldest, was even the oldest . The first one to go off to War, the first one to graduate college, the first one to take that acid trip back in the 60's.

I wonder where I missed all those years? Was it while I was busy working supporting everyone else? I don't feel old. WEll maybe sometime when I get up in agonizing pain, but that's cuz I have the bionic spine with parts. not old age. ir is it?

When I was 14, I hoped that one day I would have a girlfriend

When I was 16 I got a girlfriend, but there was no passion, so I decided I needed a passionate girl with a zest for life.

In college, I dated a passionate girl, but she was too emotional. Everything was an emergency; she was a drama queen, cried all the time and threatened suicide. So I decided I needed a girl with stability.

When I turned 31, I found a smart ambitious girl with her feet planted firmly on the ground and married her. She was so ambitious that she divorced me and took everything I owned.
