Physics for breakfast...

Dont you just HATE when that happens...
So, I was making a bowl of corn flakes for breakfast this morning. Seems harmless enough.
Except one flake was laying in just such a way that it formed a milk funnel and when the milk hit it, it shot back up and off one side, shooting over the bowl, off the edge of the countertop and onto my foot.
I HATE when that happens...

So this weekend, I started a new project... or should I say the next phase of the current project. Turning a common garage into a 1,000 sqft "Garage-Mahal" sort of mancave is no easy task, but I've got it handled and its well underway.
The 'next phase' is new custom cabinets from scratch. I started with the overhead cabinets, which consists of 15 foot long bank of 30" tall cabinets with doors.
Saturday stated with picking up the birch plywood and cutting out all the major components, with a skill saw initially, and squaring them on the table saw.
After I had 3 sheets of plywood reduced to a pile of cabinet parts, it was dinner time, so I went out for a burger and while I was out, I stopped off at a local electronics store and started window/price shopping for the flat screen TV and stereo that will be included in the upper cabinets I'm building  What's a man cave without a big screen TV next to the roll-away tool chest?
Today, I ran some errands and procured the lights that will be mounted on the underside of the cabinets to shine onto the workbench and I applied the first coat of pre-finish to all the parts I cut yesterday. I find it much easier to finish the interior of new cabinets by finishing the wood before its assembled.
And remember, if the women dont find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

But I've been really busy with stuff lately.
Had to leave town last weekend and go home to Idaho and help my out. She's going through some transitions and needed her daddy.
You never stop being a parent, ne?
