This is where I blog one side of my brain - my inner feelings.

Some do not make pleasant reading - but I find blogging a release, so, if you are willling, you can share my burden.

It's an interesting journey and eventually the two blogs shall meet and I shall become one again!

Blog Commets - Play with life?

Am writing this because this morning
I read a blog from some less than half my age
And that blog was sad and filled with low self esteem
And I looked through the list of posts, about 10 in all
and no one had left a comment, so I did.
I left words of encouragement and hoped
that something would change for that person today
and that tonight she will be number one,
out with her number one choice for a date.

And I thought about that blog in the car
on the way home from work... and also
thought of the other blogs and comments
that I have read and written.

And the girl I chatted to where she asked
if I would come to her funeral
that it could be sooner they anyone thinks.

I though of myself and my depression scale
and how it had hit 99% one day. And how occasionally
I just wanted to drive into the sunset,
or straight on, at high speed, into the nearest wall
- but on that day
the petrol gauge was red so I drove home instead.

And how one extra special person had contacted me
with words of encouragement just when I needed them
and now my depression scale needle hardly moves at all.
I have found me a new me through all my blogging
and through all the nice things people have written
and through all the interest shown by you the site members.

But then I also remember seeing comments on
smart, stupid, degrading, debasing and horrible
third person comments - and I wondered...

With some many people exposed emotionally on this site
With nearly 24 million members, some vunurable
has any blog post or comment ever
pushed someone over to the other side....


And I remembered Maureen Potter (and Irish comedian
and actress) and how, at the end of her shows she said
"If it's good tell the world, if it's not
keep your breath to cool yur porridge!"

And would ask all bloggers to think
of who they could affect and how
before they blog/comment something horrid.
And maybe have a motto ... "if it's nice say it
if not keep your fingers to
play with yourself!"

Asking you if you agree - or am I being stupid?
say anything, good, bad or horrid - think commenting anything is OK
this gives me a new way to look at the comments I write
don't care really what others think or do
never thought before the affect of an unsuitable comment
with comments, always take the other person into consideration
think you have to take peoples emotional state into consideration
