    Making Life Like Blings

Thanks to passion8lover8, passion8lover8 for his bling tips which enabled me to make this bling of my main profile picture, . It is much different than my first attempt.

Anyway, these are the instructions, almost word for word from passion8lover8, with my comments in blue.

    1) Create and edit your bling graphic at whatever size you like in an image editing program (such as "The GIMP" which is available for free on the internet ). Crop the final image to a square shape and resize it to 40 x 40 pixels.

    2) Open the bling editor and re-arrange your program windows so that you have both the image editing program and the bling editor open and visible, side by side.

    3) Zoom in on the image in the image editing program so that its overall size matches the pixel grid of the bling editor.

    4) Select a colour range in the image editing program (the program will highlight all of the pixels that are of the selected colour), place an acetate sheet (photo copying transparency) over your computer monitor and mark the highlighted pixels (i.e. the ones that are of the selected colour) on the sheet using a non-permanent marker.

For this part I found it way easier to tape the transparency onto your computer screen, draw in the edges of the image in the Local Sexy Swingers bling editor. You must make the sizes match between the image editing program and the Local Sexy Swingers bling editor. I used a larger color range for the grass and blanket. If you use GIMP as suggested it defaults to a range of 15. I went down to a range of 5 for my body part of the bling.

One the transparency with the Local Sexy Swingers editor lined up I marked a blank square to select the color range. Then I slide the GIMP editor lined up with the lines I had drawn (in permanent marker) and selected the color in GIMP. Using non-permanent I marked off the matching squares on the transparency and then used GIMP to select the color and it gave me the color codes to copy to the Local Sexy Swingers editor. Then I slide the GIMP window out of the way and my Local Sexy Swingers editor was still there, lined up as I left it, so I could enter the color and highlight the squares. It takes a long time. The bigger the color range, the faster it will go, but the less the definition.

I gently cleaned the transparency still taped to my screen after every couple colors. It gets confusing if you do not clean it.

    5) Slide the acetate sheet over your monitor so that it overlays the bling editor's pixel grid and use the marks on the sheet to show you which pixels must be changed to the selected colour (which is entered into the bling editor's RGB boxes)

I rarely get on here, so if you have a question you'd like me to answer, please give me a heads up over at [blog sexyfitwoman] so I know to check.

Practicalities of working with Local Sexy Swingers

Local Sexy Swingers drives me crazy with some of the problems, but I've managed to figure out a few things to make it easier.

"You are not authorized to view this message"

Sometimes there are long and irregular delay in being able to view and reply to your messages. Local Sexy Swingers has a couple hundred servers and they aren't all always co- operating with each other or updated at the same time.

Hit the back button and then the send button again. Sometimes you just have to leave for a few hours and try to do email later.

When the servers are backed up like this, trying to reply often opens a useless window to reply to yourself, and you have to start over because going back will not bring back the original message. To make it easier, use a browser with tabs, such as firefox. When you use a browser with tabs, you can easily open the reply link to a new tab and if it doesn't work, the original message tab is still there as is the link to try again.

Local Sexy Swingers is so much easier to navigate using a browser with tabs.

    Getting around message filters

Usually when someone has a message filter on, they have it on for a reason, and even though you think that if you could just get through, they'd find you are perfect, they don't necessarily feel that way. But if you really want to get through, there are some ways to contact them when the filters are on, but for most, you have to be in the person's network.

If you are not in the network and a paid member, you can send a message with a network invite.

If you are in the network, you can sent a message by replying to a network bulletin the person may have posted, standard members are limited in this ability.

If you are in the network, you can also put a message in the testimony area.

If you are in the network, you can post your own bulletin, which probably has a lower chance of being read, but you can increase the odds by using that person's handle in the title for the bulletin.

Viewing network albums when a profile is off

Once in a network, there two places to link to view network albums, from the person's profile page, and from your network or friend's page.

Once in a person's network, you can still view the albums even if the person turns their profile off for a while. To access them, go to your friend's page and click the "view all" network albums' link.

My margins on my blog have changed and now my blog on the main page is more narrow, how do I change it back?

Chances are you've left a message on someone else's blog that either has a super long handle, or has put a long string of characters together in the title of one of their posts. How this is affecting your blog is you've left a comment on it and it has forced the table width to be larger in the "most recent comments by..." frame, or one of the frames on the other side of your main blog page.

If you have tips to make working and navigating Local Sexy Swingers easier, please add them. Local Sexy Swingers fixes bugs and changes the programming all the time. If I've missed a change in updating this post, please let me know.

There are many choices of fonts, but not all fonts work on all browsers.

In order for a web page to show up as you intend it, your font choice must be installed.

The follow are considered browser safe fonts for window operating systems.

The tags for using a font are [font face="Showcard Gothic"] Showcard Gothic [/font]. For more information about tags, see Available Tags.

    Deleting All of Your Profile

Everyone that deletes their Local Sexy Swingers profile does so for their own reasons, but many are not aware of how much of their profile remains behind from merely hitting delete.

For example, when you only hit delete:
    • Anyone that was in your network still has access to your albums.
    • Testimonies you've left on other's profiles remain visible with the profile picture you had at the time you deleted your account.
    • Your main profile picture remains visible in all the blogs.
    • Your blogs and comments you made on other blogs also remain after you've deleted your profile.

So, when you decide it is time to leave Local Sexy Swingers, you may want to think about how much of a profile echo you intend to leave behind.

Some things you have little control to delete, like comments you leave on blogs. Most people will delete your comments if you ask, and permanently banning someone deletes all comments they ever made to your blog.

If when you delete your profile, your intent is to remove as much of you as possible, here are steps to follow before you delete your actual profile. You can not do these steps after you delete your profile.

    1. Delete your albums.
    2. Delete your profile pictures.
    3. Delete your network friends.
    4. Delete your blog posts.
    5. If you've left testimonies and you want those gone, go to the profiles you left them on, and delete them from those profiles.
    6. Turn your profile off first before you delete it. This gives you the option of checking to see if any of the things you deleted didn't take.
    7. You may consider deleting testimonies in case coding changes. Currently they are only accessible by viewing your profile.

Another point related to privacy, your blog can be googled by your handle name.

Tags are what HTML commands are called. On Local Sexy Swingers square brackets [] are used instead of <>. Most tags are done in pairs, for example [b] and[/b] are tags to bold and anything you write between them would be bolded.

Some tags do not require closing and are specific to Local Sexy Swingers, for example [photo handle] (btw, your profile name is known as a handle). The photo tag is an Local Sexy Swingers invention, and it can used to link profile pictures.

Put them in a table and you get
    sexyfitwoman
    sexyfitwoman
    sexyfitwoman
    sexyfitwoman
    sexyfitwoman
Note that by putting them in a table you have greater control over their layout.

Other tags that do not require closing are:
  • [p] - starts a new paragraph
  • [br] - puts in line breaks
  • [li] - puts in the bullets you see on this list.
  • [hr] - puts in the lines that you see dividing the sections

    Formating tags
  • [b] [/b] - bolds text.
  • [i] [/i] - makes italics.
  • [color ff6600] [/color] - colors text, backgrounds, borders, etc. Read more about color in Creating Background Color and Using Hexidecimal Colors.
  • [size 4] [/size] - changes the size of the font face, 1 is small, 10 is big.
  • [center] [/center] - centers text, pictures, etc.

  • [u] [/u] - underlines text
  • [sup] [/sup] - superscripts text
  • [sub] [/sub] - subscripts text
  • [font face="Albertus Medium"] [/font] - changes the font. Notice the close tag is only [font].
  • [blockquote] [/blockquote] -
this puts something you are quoting down a line and narrow the margins to smaller then the original post, as what has happened to this paragraph. White space is automatically added.

  • [ul] [/ul] - use this command before using the [li] commands and your list will be indented and each bullet will have a hanging indent.
  • [ol] [/ol] - use this command around [li] commands and each [li] will print a number instead of a bullet.

All of these formating tags require closing

Framing Text or Pictures, using the background command

Framing a post or picture can add a lot of style to a blog, imagine a poem centered in a frame. And framing is easy to do, it is just a modification of making a background color. On with a frame of text.

    Come with me
    My love
    To the sea
    The sea of love

    I wanna tell you
    Just how much
    I love you

    The code is easy:
      [center][bg bgcolor=skyblue width=60% cellpadding=40 border=8 bordercolor=limegreen]
      **Insert text or picture here**
      [/bg][/center]

Framing pictures is just as easy, just put a picture instead of text.

    sexyfitwoman

Or, take out the width command, and make changes to the padding, border and bordercolor
      [center][bg bgcolor=skyblue cellpadding=25 border=15 bordercolor=purple]
      **Insert text or picture here**
      [/bg][/center]

Tables are definitely confusing and take some work to figure out. It might be easiest to find a table style that interests you and start with that. As time goes by, I'll add table templates you can start with.

    This post contains
    • A table.
    • A brief explanation of what the code means.
    • The code that you can cut and paste and modify.
    • Links to some awesome posts on the subject by GoddessOfTheDawn.

    Explanation of code

This explanation assumes you can make your way around the standard stuff like center, fonts, background color, etc.

The table tags, [table] and [/table] don't actually put a table in, they tell the complier that next stuff coming is about a table.

The [tr] and [/tr] tags open a close a table row. They tell the compiler that everything inbetween the tags belongs on one row.

Each [td] and [/td] open and close each cell and you put what you want into the cell between these tags. Everything between these tags can be changed.

Look at the code carefully. There are three sets of the tr tags, and the table has 3 rows.

The columns are a little different because the first row goes across all three columns. Notice for the first set tr tags the td tag has a command colspan=3. This says make this cell go across all three columns. Without this command, the title cell would stop the end of the first column.

Say you wanted to modify this table to have 4 columns, well, change the colspan to equal 4 and just add another set of td tags to each of the other rows.

Width is used a few times. The first time is in the table tag, width=95%. That says make the table take up 95% of the width of the frame. Each of the columns also have their width set by putting a width in the td tag. This 27%, 46% and 27% makes the middle column roughly 1.7 times the size of the other two.

There is also a width used for the cellpadding around Goddess's picture in the bg tag which makes the frame wider on the sides then the top and bottom. Using the cellpadding command makes that frame around the pictures even.

Alternatively, when cellpadding is used in the td tag, it is saying keep the things inside the cell this far away from the edges of the cell, so cellpadding is used a little differently, depending on the tag it is used in.

Use the preview button when working with tables and check to see how your changes are affecting the table.

    Cut and Paste Code

Creating Background Color and Using Hexidecimal Colors

Background color can really add to a post and it is easy to add.

Tags are what the HTML commands are called. You always need to open and close a command. For this post's background, this is the code:

    [bg width=100% bgcolor=FFCCFF][p]

    [/bg]

  • You can't see it, but the first line of this post is the tag opening command, [bg width=100% bgcolor=FFCCFF], and the very last line is the tag closing command, [/bg]. Just copy the code and try it.

  • When you are using HTML code, put both the open and close tag in at the same time and separate them by paragraph returns to avoid forgetting to close the tag.

  • The width subcommand is telling the background color to go the full width of the frame. For some reason, it doesn't always work, so the sexyfit make it work solution is to add the [p], which is a paragraph return.

  • The bgcolor subcommand can be either the hexidecimal code for the color, in this case FFCCFF is the color used and you can see it is light purple.

  • You can also use color names, all the common ones work, brown, green, purple, blue, red, etc., and some you would not necessarily think of work, like deeppink, all one word. The command might look like [bg bgcolor=deeppink]

Hexidecimal numbers are numbers made up using the numbers 0-9 and letters A-F. In HTML they define a color. FFFFFF is white, and 000000 is black. You can make any gray repeating two digits, ie 696969, or ABABAB.

In the table below, the hexidecimal number gives the background color shown.

    Hexidecimal colors
    FFFFFF CCFFFF 99FFFF 66FFFF 33FFFF 00FFFF
    FFFFCC CCFFCC 99FFCC 66FFCC 33FFCC 00FFCC

    Special Characters, the Ascii Codes

Do a search on ascii special characters and you will find many web pages telling you ascii codes for many characters that do not appear on your key board, but few sources list them all, and not all you find will work on Local Sexy Swingers.

To use special characters, with no spaces, type &# and the number.

For example, I can do copyright, ©, using number 169, (&# 169) or registered, ®, using 174, plus/minus, ±, using 177, trademark, ™, using 153, some common fractions, ¼, ½, ¾, using 188, 189 and 190 respectfully. These ones you can find on most special character charts.

Some are kind of useless, like 7611 will give ᶻ and your keyboard will do those individually for you. There is an ascii code for every letter and number you type.

I've been testing what works and doesn't on Local Sexy Swingers. Here's a list of those that are not commonly listed, or look kind of interesting, or that I might use.

Pictures, worth more then a 1000 words

What makes a good picture, and how do you make the most of them on Local Sexy Swingers?

First, what people like in pictures will depend on what they are looking for. That lady looking for a hot sexual encounter probably wants to see nude body shots whereas the lady looking for a relationship, commitment and "respect" probably doesn't until she feels you feel something for her rather then just superficial lust cause you're horny, and that any open legs will do.

Having said that, you also have to think about what it is that you want to portray. This is a public site and do you want your nudes with your face out there, and the possibility of someone you wouldn't want to see them seeing them? Or maybe, the idea that someone possibly did recognise you and is thinking hot thoughts about your body without your knowledge is a real turn on.

Local Sexy Swingers has two places for pictures, the 5 public ones that anyone can see, and the albums that you decide who has access to by whom you let into your network. If you have space, I recommend that any pictures you put up for public viewing also go into an album, and even lable that album something like "the public pictures for standard members." Standard members can only see your pictures if you invite them to your network and have pictures in an album.

Once you've decided what you want to portray, and whether they are best suited to your public or private network, the actual picture quality should be strongly considered. Personally, I love nudes pictures and cock pictures. I'm one of those ladies more likely to be turned on by them then turned off, but having said that, all things equal, some pictures are way more appealing then other because of the attention that goes into creating and editing them prior to posting.

There are many common errors to picture posting, and here are some dos and don'ts.
    • Do edit your pictures for orientation. If the picture is of you standing up, and the camera was sideways, turn that picture to the proper orientation before using it. This should not be a hard one to figure out, but lots have pictures that are sideways and upside down.

    • Do edit your pictures for dead space surrounding you. Unless your picture is to show you in a beautiful surrounding, get into a photo editor and trim that dresser covered in crap, etc., out of the picture. You will be more visable and bigger. How does one answer a question, "did you like my picture, " and you are about the size of an ant in it?

    • Don't use pictures that are so dark, you can hardly see a thing. Some might think, dim lights, isn't that erotic, but personally, if it is dark, I can hardly see a thing.

    • Go for original. There are thousands upon thousands of pictures of guys standing in front of their mirrors with a flash at their head showing their body. Some have body's that are totally wow, and it doesn't matter much what you do for your pictures, you get attention. Get a tripod and use the automatic flash feature and set up an erotic picture. Make lots and then choose the best. Lucky you if your camera will flash every 15-30 seconds.

    • Cut out tags that can been seen in your see though g-string.

    • Clear clutter that will be inside the picture frame.

    • Go for some lifestyle pictures, sailing, on the beach, at a party, etc.

    • Do not do overkill of similar pictures. A picture series is great, but that series is probably better in 5 pictures then 20.

    • Do picture series, they can be so hot. Everyone has different tastes, but one of the hottest pictures series for me started with a sexy man, just neck to knees, showing a bulge in the pants. The next had him shirtless and pants open, bulge through the underware. Then a twist to the backside showing a wonderful ass. Then in just underware, cock head peeking through, then full nude, erect, and so ready for a good time. The front shots could have been superimposed on each other, as if each piece of clothing just magically disappeared between shots.

    • Don't bother with just penis head shots. They look amazingly similar and do little to distinguish you. You might want to add one, but a far better nudes include more of your body, and with some thought as to how to make them erotic. And just the penis head shots suggest to me that you're trying to hide your body.

    • Do work on making your body look better. Ever hear of the body for life program. Anyone can go from flab and fat to tight and toned in just 3 months. Update those pictures, don't just say, "I've lost 10 pounds and been working out, " the picture is worth a 1000 words.

Journalism 101 - tips for success on a fickle forum

I was reading a blog that was questioning what happened to the interest in taking the time to read and appreciate true erotica, the type of thing that needs time and space to develop. Personally, I know that it is difficult for me to get into something that is particularly long, yet I have enjoyed completely enjoyed novels.

I don't think this is the forum for that in depth erotica for most people, not all people, but most people. Personally, I want to be curled up in bed for that kind of reading.

I think for greater success in writing in this place journalism "rules" need to be followed.

Journalism "rules" as I know them are:

    • Writing must be concise. When I started writing, a friend of mine would edit my work, and when done, it would say the exact same thing, but in about half the words. I can still tend to get wordy in my writing, but after a couple years of his editing, he was hardly making suggestions to make my writing concise.

    • People tend to choose to read smaller articles rather then longer articles. So, if you want to write something long, split it into chapters, but in a journalism forum, over about 400 words is where people start skipping articles because of length.

    • White space is important, put empty lines between paragraphs.

    • Keep paragraphs relatively short, ideally, no more then about 6 lines.

    • What your writing about is about has to be explained quickly in your writing. People will start and read the first 1-3 paragraphs, and if you haven't hooked them, they will move on.

    • There is also the use of colour or fonts that can either enhance or distract depending on how they are used. I bolded the place in this blog where I actually started to give tips. If what I was saying in my introduction caused a loss of interest, that bolding will have still served the purpose of having the read know that this is where the tips start, and if they are interesting in what my magical insights are, they will skim past what's boring them and give a new look from that point.

That's about all I can think of right now. Please feel free to add tips.

For the record, as I did discuss article length and reader interest, this article is about 400 words.
