It has become a common practice of the left in the last several years to oppose ANYTHING that a Republican puts forth, regardless of what it is. It seems that Bipartisanship is only to be a one way street.
Now don't go thinking that I'm willing to let the right off of the hook for all of their deeds. Oh no. They are in control of both houses of Congress, and have the Oval Office, but they can't cut spending, fully protect the borders, or reform the tax system. They refuse to protect free speech (flag burning) and want to spend their political capital on taking away people's rights (gay marriage). That would lead me to several other rants (leadership, democracy, rights, healthcare, etc) but I'm going to stop now.
BTW, I am quite willing to discuss, defend and debate anything I bring up, or that is brought up in response to my posts. However, name calling or berating another person (me or a poster) because you don't agree will not be tolerated. Politeness is the key.
Lastly, I know that I am in the minority as political leanings go, especially here. I am a conservative Libertarian. I believe in the "rule of law." I believe in logical decision making. I believe in personal responsibility. I believe that the Constitution is a marvelous document that has been ignored by those that are charged with defending it. I believe that the commercials for "Head-on (apply directly to the forehead) cause more headaches that the junk they are selling can possibly cure.

I have been kicking around a book idea for a few years. I could be serialized (always the business mind). It is a unique concept, I think it is at least as unique as The Matrix trilogy (but not in an "action-film" kind of way). It's one of those "that could be true" concepts. It deals with people, their growth and their relationships.
Am I going to spill the beans here? Certainly not yet.
Is there anybody reading this? I probably could say everything here, since I don't get the play.
Anyway, maybe if there is a demand I might figure out an actual chapter.

Some might say that it is too late for me, but I still hope to regain my sanity. Here are a few things that could change that might help.
Women that are really couples. Is it not clear that "female" and "couple" are different? I see a lot of profiles for women that begin, "We are a couple..." Now, since there isn't a cost difference or anything, why not just put in the ACTUAL status.
Guys that email other guys that are not looking for guys. Again, there is a profile there that lists that I am only looking for women. I know that the last three letters of "women" are "men" but it still won't work.
Women that list in their profiles that the are looking for "men, women and couples" but are actually only looking for women. These are often the ones that are really a couple, too. If you don't want men to email you, don't put in parameters that bring you up in their searches.
I try to be polite in my emails, and part of that is only emailing people that have asked me to email them as part of the criteria they are looking for.
Along those lines, I only put in searches for women looking for a discreet relationship... and I can't tell how may replies I've gotten (from women that listed "discreet relationship" in their criteria that said "I don't do discreet".
This isn't rocket science...
Lastly, I'm sure that there are things us guys do that drive the ladies nuts, but I'm not spending time looking through men's profiles so I don't see them. Feel free to post a comment about your experiences and what you see here that makes you crazy...

Although I "own" season tickets, I have only been to about 6 games this year. A few have been frustrating, but the last few games have been GREAT.
For those of you that aren't hockey fans... go. The Thrashers are just outside of the playoffs, and IF they win their last three games, have a fair chance of getting in. Every game is a last chance. They played like it last night. I took some Caps fans... and they like the Thrashers now.
If you haven't been to a NHL game, just do it. It is very engaging. Baseball is boring, basketball seems like a hoodlum sport, and football is too structured. Hockey hangs out on the edge. The live experience is a blast. You will be entertained during the few breaks in the action, and you will be caught up.
I'm not a big "sports guy" type. I am a racing fan, but don't really care for "games." Hockey is different. As usual, I have the "sexy radio voice" today from almost losing my voice last night... again.

Kinda sucks to be of a Libertarian viewpoint here. As I wander through female profiles, it seems that the majority of the women are quite a bit to the left of me. Now, it isn't a problem for me, but the last liberal woman I met up with seemed to have two issues with it. First, she wouldn't leave it at we didn't agree... despite the fact that until she brought up politics, we were getting along swimmingly, and her hand was well up on my thigh while she nuzzled my neck and we chatted. Secondly, she wasn't even open to the possibility that I could have a well thought out position.
We weren't getting married, we both already were. We were just going to spend some time enjoying each other's company. I know that in general, political chatter doesn't make good sex talk, but that doesn't mean that two people can't disagree and remain friends. Personally, I have many friends of varied opinions on many subjects. We discuss, disagree, and even argue about our ideas and beliefs. However, we also respect that we can see the same world through different eyes and reach different conclusions.
So far, I'm not finding many liberal women that are willing to do that... even to the level of talking about other things. So, I'm wondering...
Where are the sexy conservative and libertarian women? Or, you don't have to agree with me. I'll respect your position if you want to defend it... but I would bet that we could find better things to do.

I think the number drops from there as the attractiveness of the picture goes up. Even at that, the guys outnumber the women about 5:1 here.
The whole point of the rant is that us guys are trying to wade through scores of profiles to find the actual women. While we are doing that, many of the actual women get really bent out of shape if we don't write a long enough introductory email, or if our introductory email starts to sound canned, or (God forbid) "cut and paste." Can we get a signal?
I first tried just responding to women with friends in their network. Then I went for just the ones with testemonials. Now, I am blogging and looking for local women that also blog... or at least write comments.
Maybe I've already actually talked to all of the real and attractive women in Local Sexy Swingers near Atlanta, but I don't think so.
