Did You See Trumps Speech

In Pennsylvania where he was encouraging his people to go around to other voting locations to check and make sure no cheating is going on?

Sounds like he wants his goon squads to go around and intimidate people. Pennsylvania is an open carry state... will his goons be standing around the polling booths with firearms? How does he expect people who are just standing around watching to know if there is cheating going on. Are they going to memorize the faces of the people from the previous polling location they were at and see if anyone shows up that looks like them?

I know Trump is a freaking moron but is this just another one of his misspoken, misunderstood idiotic statements or is he trying to intimidate voters now?

I'm glad to see that a lot of Republicans have come to their senses and are actively opposing Trump and speaking out against him. It's nice to see some people do have integrity. Not much good to be said for the leaders in the Republican party who are standing behind Trump "in support of the office he is running for"...Really so it is alright to be in support of a crazy freaking fruit case running for office or other positions in the community because you are in support of having a person of the right political affiliation in the office instead of someone sane and reasonable?

I wonder if the leaders in support of Trump even realize how they are sabotaging their own party and causes by being such ignorant asses.

I've Decided...

Women's volleyball is my favorite Olympic sport to watch. I wonder if they need a masseur to workout the knots in their muscles after a game. I could apply the tape and check the fit of the suits to be sure they didn't have any wardrobe malfunctions during the game... really I would.

I've always loved playing volleyball from the first time in grade school. I wasn't so good at jumping up and spiking the ball then or anything else really other than serving it across the net and setting it up but I loved playing the game. It definitely works best with team work. I improved my skills through junior high and got better working the net. The ball hogs that always just hit the ball over the net instead of setting it up for a good play at the net were annoying especially as I was always setting the ball for them when they were at the front.

The Turks loved playing volleyball and we played frequently when I was sitting on the mountain top in Turkey. The court was a combination volleyball/tennis court but I only once saw it set up for tennis the rest of the time it was set for volleyball. I bought my own ball while I was there and the Turkish soldiers would often borrow my ball. The guy in charge of the sports equipment sometimes would be gone for the day so that was why I got a ball for my own. I left it there with them when I left for the states at the end of my tour and bought another one in North Dakota soon after I got there.

We weren't playing any sports in the shop when I got there. Our shop was in the main squadron building and there wasn't much for good places to play sports by the building. Within about a year of arriving there we moved the shop to another building out at a remote section of the base not far from the shooting range. During that initial time there another one of the guys from the same mountain top site in Turkey had been assigned to the shop and the new section chief (in charge of both sides) was another guy from an Italy assignment. With the talk about the time we three had spent on the mountain tops and the activities it was decided to get the net and sports equipment. We soon had a volleyball game going every Friday afternoon when we didn't have too much other work going on. We also had flag football games going on sometimes. Even the Air Force knows that tackle football in too dangerous and injury ridden and had forbidden playing anything but flag football. Even so though sometimes things got a bit rough and a little blood got split once in a while. I never did play football with them, seems I was always working out in the field when they were playing football and chose not to join in when I got back if there was time. But would rarely miss a volleyball game. We had both women and men working at the shop and I think the women preferred playing volleyball. Some of the guys seemed to like to use the football game to get out their frustrations with each other sometimes or so it seemed to me.

I loved setting the ball up and of course working the net when I got up there. It was a blast to tip the ball up just over the tips of someones figures when they jumped up to block a spike and watch it drop just behind their back or to their side by their feet. There was this one taller guy in the shop who thought he was the greatest ball spiker there. He was good at blocking and spiking but he had no finesse just a coarse slapping at the ball. I was always smiling when I got to the net across from him and he knew he was in for a workout and some embarrassment. He could reach up higher then me but I could control the ball better and found it better to send it to an empty spot with just an easy redirection rather then trying to slug the ball into the ground. I used to open the doors of my old Chevy pickup, that I had bought from the guy that came from the same site as I in Turkey, to play music from my stereo that I had installed. We never really payed that much attention to the score just the plays. It was definitely a good way to end the week.

What are you favorite sports to play?

If someone came up and wanted to give you their Purple Heart medal?

I would take it and pin it back on them and tell them that they earned it and it was not for me to accept as a gift.

You probably saw how Trump dealt with the situation.... shamelessly... and showing what a spineless self centered ass wipe he is.

Special Sentences

What do you think about mandatory minimum sentences for people who “assault” “injure” even minor temporary injuries, “kill or conspire to kill, injure or assault” federal judges, federal law enforcement officers or a "federally funded public safety officer" which can get pretty inclusive when you start considering where federal government money gets distributed (it would include people who are not even police officers). It also includes people who are off duty and or retired, though there is supposed to be a requirement that the act is in relation to previous actions while on duty.

Check out “Back The Blue Act.” Legislation put forth by Senator Cornyn, along with Republican co-sponsors Ted Cruz and Thom Tillis. Republicans that just love those mandatory sentences. Sentences that give no concern whatsoever to the circumstances.

I for one think that the regular laws we have against murder, assault etc. are good enough for all of us. I don’t like the idea of special protections for certain people. After all we are all created equal aren’t we? I don’t like that crimes against judges get special penalties under the law. I definitely don’t think that any police or public safety officer should have special penalties associated with crimes against them given the way they have been abusing their power. Especially when it is so open to abuse if a police officer can claim they were assaulted or injured when the supposed perpetrator doesn’t have any witnesses to defend him/her.

When police put a choke hold and tackle someone who was supposedly selling loose cigarettes and push his face into the ground and then stand around with him saying he can’t breathe and do nothing to help him for the entire time that it takes for an ambulance to arrive I have to wonder who should get the special penalties. By the way in that case even though the coroner said it was a homicide, and choke holds are prohibited by the NYPD, the police officer didn’t even get indicted.

Given the number of cases where innocent people are sent to prison for any amount of time but usually long sentences, and it is later found that the prosecutor or the police held back exculpatory evidence that would have cleared them or put serious doubt on their guilt, who should get the special penalties? They certainly don’t, most every time they walk away or get promoted.

When the Chicago police detective and commander Jon Graham Burge who tortured people to get false confessions and who knows maybe even some real ones was discovered and prosecuted he was acquitted. The system did catch up to him a little later though with a conviction on obstruction of justice and perjury charges in relation to a civil suit regarding the torture allegations. In other words he got away with it then got snagged up on other minor charges, kind of like someone else I remember form back then. Meanwhile it cost tens of millions of dollars for the investigations and settlements. He spent less than four years in prison even though he sent people to prison and to death sentences with his tortured confessions.

So who do you think, if anybody, should get special penalties associated with the crimes they commit?

The abuses continue.

The price is going to be paid by people who didn't do it but then again the abused didn't deserve it either and thus the hate and anger builds to the point of explosion.

Charlie The Tuna

Do you remember Charlie the Tuna fish on the Starkist commercials. I remember him from back when I was a . I haven't seen any commercials with him in them in a long while, for a few years it seems anyways. I remember that "Sorry Charlie" sign/line and often used it or heard it at school. I do remember seeing the commercial when my and I were sitting watching TV together and thinking and telling them about how I remember Charlie from when I was a .

I just thought about this when I was making a tuna sandwich earlier today and Charlie on the can with his hat and glasses. I like to put Miracle Whip, diced up black or green olives, cut up pieces of cucumber and my Mothers home made zucchini relish in the mix. Sometimes I put in diced red peppers or slice them up and put them on the tuna mix before putting on the bread with the mustard. Sometimes I put lettuce in there too maybe even tomatoes.

I like to put tuna in my macaroni salad. In fact the ingredient list is similar to the one for my sandwiches. Tuna fish, macaroni, miracle whip, relish, green olives, red peppers, cucumbers, frozen peas, a can of cream of celery soup and sometimes diced or sliced hard boiled eggs. I like a red onion diced up in it also but some people don't so it often gets left out.

Do you do anything with tuna fish?

Do you remember any commercial characters from your childhood?

Leaders and Followers, The Curse Of Mankind?

Throughout the history of mankind there have been leaders and followers. Because of the social nature of the human animal it is likely it will always be that way. Of course there are always the individuals who march to their own tune. They are often ostracized or even eliminated at times, though they are perhaps more tolerated in modern times but still subject to abuse by the intolerant.

Early mankind likely picked their leaders by their abilities to provide guidance and find food and safety. It is likely the leaders got special privileges by way of being the first to get to the new location or the first to get to the new found food stuffs or to the fresh game or just by being bigger. They may well have exercised their privileges in other ways such as having a better selection of mate because of being in the leadership position and the desire of the potential mate to move up in status. We have very limited real knowledge of the religious practices of early mankind. If they had separate religious leaders you can bet they got special treatment of some kind.

As mankind became “more civilized” by living together in larger groups the leaders likely got even more privileged as they now had to spend more time telling people what to do rather than finding game or safe places to live. These early managers likely got their choice of the best food and places to live and the best of things. Again, if they had separate religious leaders you bet they got special treatment of some kind.

Of course with the civilization came trade, money, property ownership and wealth. In some civilizations the leaders were also the religious leaders in others they were separate people. Organized religion sometimes grew to challenge the leaders in a power struggle for control over the masses and the wealth. Both of the leaders were often very privileged.

Back in the cave man/woman days if your leader was abusive you could gang up on him and eliminate him. As the world got more civilized the leaders had more power and wealth to build a wall of protection around them and they had more freedom to be abusive. Kings, Popes, religious leaders etc. and those working under their protection were free to use and abuse the masses and did so frequently.

Now the leaders have army’s, police forces, personal body guards, and weapons of all kinds and the masses are still subject to the abuses from the leaders and their protectors. The power is still clustered around the leaders and the organizations around them. The leaders still get the best of things. The followers still get trampled on. The followers are the ones sent to fight the leaders wars. The followers are the ones whose rights and freedoms get abused. The followers are the ones whose lives are cheap and disposable, expendable.

As has been seen time and again power corrupts. The longer you have power the more influence it has over you. The more privileged you begin to feel.

Who do you think is worthy of being followed by you and yours.

Be wary of who you choose for your leaders.

Blog Position Validity Debate?

Seems odd that someone is complaining about the qualifications of the top blogger because of their choice of self description and identity.

As I see the list in dispute, it doesn't list any requirement for a particular sexual definition of any kind it simply says "Active Blogs (by unique responses)" meaning any blogger can be the "Top" blogger. Even someones pet dog, cat, snake or rabbit. I suppose if you went all the way through the list you would find every blogger on the site on it. I didn't because...

The only area I see any requirement is for the top male blogger category. I expect the only reason that is in there is because the male bloggers don't tend to get as much attention as the others so it was likely done to give people a quick place to go and see the lists of male bloggers. I wonder if any male bloggers would give a shit if a female was to identify as male and take the top spot on that list. I know I wouldn't care in the least.

I wonder if I would act like some people have if I lost the "Top" spot.

I had a gang of thieves on the back porch last night. Rattling everything around and making a ruckus. There were at least four of them maybe more. I got up from my chair and went over to the sliding glass door and pulled my flashlight out and shone it out the glass. They stood there and looked back at me... like what the fuck do you want. So I unlocked the door and slid it open and said boo. They scampered off and ran down over the bank. So I sat back down and continued reading blogs and watching the news. Not too long after and they were back again rummaging around and making noise so I got up and grabbed a couple old waffles left over from last nights strawberry blueberry waffle dinner. I went over to the door and flashed the light out at them and they stood there looking back again. So I opened the door and tossed the waffles out on the back lawn. They took off when I slid the door open but came back soon after. They like to clean up the left over sunflower seeds I put out for the squirrels. They are pretty bold though to come up to the window when the lights are on and stay right there until I open the door. They even wear those funny looking mask just so you know they are bandits. Do you have raccoons around.

I have a customer that told me a story about how they had a little problem with them at his house a while ago. They had a barbecue and had brought all the food in and left some of the stuff on the counter in the kitchen and went to bed. Well in the middle of the night they woke up to the sound of someone rummaging around downstairs. So the wife tells the husband to go down and see what's going on. Well he went down the stairs with a friend and snuck out to the door to the kitchen and snapped the light on. The bandits turned and looked at him like want the fuck are you doing here. So he chased them out the window they had come in through having shredded the screen in the process. They weren't being to nice about it and were hissing at him. He closed the window and cleaned up some and went to bed.

Well the bandits weren't done yet. They came back a little later that night only this time as all the ground floor windows were closed they climbed up onto his deck for the second floor and were in the process of coming through the screen of an open window there when he heard them and chased them off again. Persistent little thieves aren't they. They kept coming back that summer and bothering him. They would come right up and look in the windows. They were even coming up on the lawn and slinking around when they were out in the back yard. They probably wouldn't have been so persistent if they hadn't been tossing the corn cobs out to them earlier the night they had the barbecue. You have to be careful who you invite to dinner.

Smiling is going to get me in trouble

I just got back from the grocery store a little while ago. Had to go get lettuce and parsley for my Daughters rabbit. Got some salad stuff too. Then I went to the checkout line which was short, just one lady and her in front of me. I must be funny looking or something cause the lady couldn't seem to stop looking at me. I did just give myself a haircut today but I know it wasn't that as I had my hat on and I keep my hair short, on the sides anyway, the top is getting kind of thin My favorite cashier was working tonight. She is kind of cute so I can't help but smile when I look at her. I always look people in the eyes when I am talking or interacting with them or for that matter when I walk past them. I saw her when I walked in the store tonight as she was at the register just inside the entry. She saw me as I came in and I was looking at her and smiling.

This cashier is clearly wanting to talk with me. All her body language is communicating her interest. I first saw her there at the store a few months ago and I smiled at her then as I liked the way she looked. Do you know what I mean? How when you see someone that looks appealing to you, it isn't necessarily that they are particularly good looking but that they have the right looks to make you feel good when you look at them. That's the way she looks to me. At the time though I didn't think anything more than she's cute I wonder what she's like... but she's way too young for me to worry about. So I just went about my business. But it seemed every time I was in the store when she was working I would be in her line. I wasn't looking to see who was at the register... I just looked for the short line and it always was her there or there was only one line open. I usually go to the store anywhere from 7-11 PM so the later it is the fewer lines there are open.

On the third time I was in her line she started talking to me. She was clearly a bit uncomfortable to just start talking to a stranger in the line but she was just about dying to say anything to get a conversation started. So I smiled a little bigger and chatted with her as I was bagging groceries she was sending down the counter to me. Now you might think she does that with everybody but she doesn't and when she does talk to the customers she isn't nervous and she isn't talking about herself either. She definitely is interested in me or I don't know a thing about reading people. I see her there about once every two weeks or so as I am rather random about when I go to the store. I was there last week and it was earlier in the day and I had just a few things. I was in a different line but when I went and put the basket away by the door as I was waiting for the people in front of me to get done, I saw her on the other register line and she saw me about the same time and we both smiled.

Well tonight she very clearly wanted to say something but there were a bunch of people in the line and a bagger there loading the groceries. She looked a bit distressed about not having much opportunity to say much. She did wish me a great evening. She has been saying that every time I've seen her since the third time when she started talking to me. It is in the way she says it as much as what she says.

I think she is about ready to ask me out. It wouldn't be the first time I've had that happen. My ex-wife actually asked me out several times before I finally said yes. I didn't want to go out with her because she was ten years younger than me and had only just turned eighteen.

I don't really know just how old this woman is as I'm not real good with guessing ages until someone gets around their 40's and up. If I had to guess I would say she is around her late twenties to late thirties but I could be way off. I guess if she does ask I would tell her my age and ask her hers as I'm just not thinking she is old enough to for me to be dating her or anything like that.

So smiling can get you in a bind sometimes but who knows
