Well, 2016 can just bite me, and not in the good way.
Back in March I fell down and dislocated my shoulder. It's so painful I would not wish it on anyone ( even DT, well maybe him...LO.
November 14, I threw my arms over my head on my bed and dislocated it again. So tomorrow I am having surgery to repair all that damage, plus the damage of years of being a deli/ bakery manager.Merry xmas to me...LOL
I hope everyone has a happy holiday season, and try not to ever dislocate your shoulder!

I like getting mail, both inane and literate. I guess I am just vain.
I can ALWAYS tell if the fella has read ANY of my profile.
I met a good friend ( female ) on a dating site and my lover/best friend/partner in crimes on this very site.
I'm now 63 years and almost 6 months old. I'm a grandmother and soon to be retiree. I don't have time to meet you.
I am doing lots of fun things that I haven't had the time to do previously.
I love my life.

I love the Autumn. My birthday is November 6 so I start my yearly reflections ear;y in October.
Do you reflect upon anything at your birthday? Do you make plans for the future, take an assessment of the past?
I love going for a drive in the country this time of year to see the beautiful colors, pumpkin stands and empty corn fields. Evenrthing preparing for winter and nature getting ready to sleep.
Oh, and Pie Season is upon us. I have cleaned my oven in preparation!
Have a wonderful Autum and enjoy the outdoors while the weather is just right!

Why do I stay on this site? I met a lovely guy NINE YEARS ago and we are still loving each other! What is it about my personality that allows me to keep "looking". That is not to say I am seeking anything. All my blogging pals are no longer on here, yet I remain. Just wondering.

Anyone lucky enough to still have their mother...Be nice to her.
Dementia might one day take her from you, but leave her withered shell for you to care for the best you can do.
That is all.

Someone asked me....What is there to do on a summer evening. Tonight I am enjoying solitude after spending the day with my lover.
And enjoying a lovely BLT. Fresh from the garden, warm and juicy tomatoes, with baby lettuces, crispy bacon with good mayo on healthnut toasted bread.
Nothing better on a summer evening: except possibly more lover/boy.

My good friend Roger the Hound has honored me with a post: [post 2249379]. I must admit that I sent him the photo to use in his "Bodacious Buttart" series.
I also must admit that these photos are several years old. The fellow who took them is no longer in my life, but I love the photos so much! It was a fun day when he took them and a great adventure for me!
I have no regrets...well maybe that I am not doing as much exercise these days. I must also admit that, while I have gained a few pounds and am a few years older, I still get admiring looks and no complaints from the lover boy!
Let's all love the body the several gods have granted to us!
Love and snow....yep it's snowing again in NC.....so tired of winter!

Tangled up in blue/keep on keeping on

Oh the things we all do to keep on keeping on. We lie to ourselves. We adapt. We act all insane (i.e. doing the same things over and over, expecting different results).
Life is a learning journey. Lessons learned/lessons applied. We move on, even at the pace of a "caterpiller". I have learned a few things over the past few years, and recognize myself in the lessons of others.
I am one who always tried to maintain a positive attitude. I find that "seeing is being" and try to act accordingly. Sometimes the light just shines through all that. Sometimes it is a complete sham!
So all you lovely blogging folk-how do you keep on keeping on? What are you tangled up in?
LOVE AND IMMENSE LIGHT

The moon is mocking me..laughing at this silly woman with secret desires and deep dark passions and lingering jealousies.
Oh, how can I live with this? Oh, how can I manange to keep these thoughts buried deep...so deep...so that i can function in THIS world?
I want, I need, I crave, I ...I... yes.

Winter chill/Listening to the cold

Here in NC, we are in the throes of winter. It has been below freezing for more days in a row since 1973. I don't mind the cold. I like making soup, cuddling up,staying in bed.
The snow can be an inconvenience, but it's so beautiful and serene. The world slows down and listens to the quiet.
What if we listened to the warm as well? *nodding to Rod McKuen.
Listen to the Warm By Rod McKuen
I live alone. It hasn't always been that way. It's nice sometimes to open up the heart a little and let some hurt come in. It proves you're still alive.
I'm not sure what it means. Why we cannot shake the old loves from our minds. It must be that we build on memory and make them more than what they were. And is the manufacture just a safe device for closing up the wall?
I do remember. The only fuzzy circumstance is sometimes where-and-how. Why, I know.
It happens just because we need to want and to be wanted too, when love is here or gone to lie down in the darkness and listen to the warm.

When you leave my house I don't change the sheets for days,
sometimes I don't bathe until the next day..
so I can still smell you, smell me, smell us.

It has rained for days and days and days. I feel damp and my hair is unmanageable. I want to stay in bed and read and sleep and have lazy-day sex for the rest of this day......
Rain is nice!
The photo: I admit I snaggegd it from google. Thanks to the unknown photographer.
Also...trek thyself over to the famous video site and check out our lovely Beatles singing Rain...it was like the very first pop song/video!
